Designed for racks with 1-1/4" diameter arms.These replacements helped me save a re-gifted Performance XPORT Slipstream hitch bike rack. As other reviews say, they are a tight fit for 1 1/4" arms. I put the cradles in a bucket with boiling soapy water for some time before applying to the bike rack. I used a rubber mallet to hammer them into place. It took a little elbow grease but works. Be aware that you put them on facing the correct way. The cradles and straps feel sturdy. Great replacement for the original parts.
I bought a Thule rack about a year ago and have been disappointed with the quality of the cradles and snap. At speeds beyond 50mph the bikes move around and the straps don’t hold. I decided to go back to these
Hollywood cradles and straps that work perfectly well on the Thule rack frame. I found using some washing up liquid and a rubber mallet helpful in getting them onto the rack arms and into position but now my bikes are secure at any speed and I can relax when transporting them.
Ordered three cradle sets. The packaging stated that these cradles worked with both 1” and 1-1/4” tubes. I tried to put them on but they were really tight. I put them into a pot of boiling hot water and that made all the difference. It was still a little hard but they went on with a little bit of soap and muscle. The product is high quality. Would definitely buy again if I needed to but I think they will last a while.
Bottom line: the product worked well for my needs
More importantly, the service the etrailer team gave when I reported a problem was excellent. I ordered two bags of the 1-1/4" cradles. The package contained one bag of 1-1/4" cradles and one package erroneously marked as 1-1/4" cradles, but with 1" cradles. I reported this and promptly (3-4 days) received a replacement bag. Once again, the bag was erroneously marked as 1-1/4" cradles, but contained 1" cradles. I called etrailer and spoke with a representative to explain what had happened. I also requested that someone ensure that the bag contain the appropriate size. This was done and I received a new bag which in fact did contain the 1-1/4" cradles (and was marked properly). While I wish that I never had to reach out to customer service, they were extremely helpful and ensured that I received what I had ordered.
The cradles are good for replacing broken or torn bike cradles for the bike rack. Definitely a less expensive alternative than buying a new rack.

I used these 1 1/4" cradles to replace the broken ones on a XPORT bike rack made by Slipstream. The fit was quite snug, so I applied some hand soap (slightly diluted) to the inside of the cradle and the bike rack tube. Then I simply used a hammer and a piece of wood to tap them into place. The straps are a little more pliable than my previous ones, which is nice.
These wear over the many years, so it's great to have an easy-to-order replacement. Quick shipping, excellent quality, easy to recommend to you.

Perfectly-works well, use daily
Our hitch has been used for a bike rack that carries four bicycles and we are very satisfied with the product. No problems at all.
I was looking for replacement straps as three out of six had dry rotted and broke. I was unable to get factory replacements. After reading the description On the trailer site I ordered two sets. I was happy with the quality and they fit nicely on my bike carrier. They were slightly larger than the rails on my carrier and moved around. I put a self tapping screw in each to keep them in position. Perfect!!
The old cradles on my bike rack were crumbling so I wanted to replace them because I like the rack. The rack tubing is 1 1/4 inch and the new cradles are a really tight fit. (1) Clean the tubing (2) lube it up (3) soak the cradles in some hot water (4) jam them on while hot.
The rack is now good as new.
Very prompt service. Product is exactly as advertised.
Opening is 1 3/16 not 1 1/4 due to extra rubber in the inner bore, I have had this problem before. It doesn’t work

I have pulled this item and measured what we have in stock myself and can confirm that the opening is 1.25 inches.

Pretty d**n good. I have an old Cabelas bike rack. The rack is steel with 1 1/4" OD tubes. The ID of the of the carriers sent are just slightly smaller. I tried a few times to get the carrier on the tubes but never got far. I finally took the carriers and put them in boiling water, previously shaved the material back slightly with a sharp knife so that it was angled. I took liquid soap and lubed the tubes. I was able to get the carriers on the tube but did have to use a hammer and block of wood. They are on now and work great!
I am ordering three more sets to fill the rack completely up.

Really refreshed my old bike rack and made it much more convenient than struggling with the old and frayed velcro straps. Just make sure you measure the diameter of the racks on your bike rack first, I ordered the wrong size at first.
My Hollywood Rack has been cross country twice and never missed a beat. The rack is 6 years old i lost a strap. etrailer has the straps and the mounts in stock at an awesome price. I got spares too. Lightning fast shipping and customer service 2nd to none

Very pleased service from order to delivery. This part is still in box because need for bike rack delayed. Would recommend this company for appropriate rack parts.
This and the other bike rack brackets we bought here fill a need . They are difficult to do without .
Racks take abuse and parts wear and are hard to find. Try making one on your own!
These will fit normal bikes in many angles and positions.

Exactly what I needed. Both the cradle and straps are much better than the original parts that came with my rack. I'm hoping these do not split like the originals but I can already tell that the straps are 100% more durable.
After 1 year no problems! Would definitely buy this again. Without these tie doens my Cabelas steel bike rack was useless. Just like new now (minus a few scratches).
They work great on my bike rack - now that I have them on. I ordered the 1 1/4" and they were very tight. I oiled the bar and pounded the cradles on with a hammer. It did take some muscle getting them on. But I'm happy that they work.
