I'am in the process of setting up my 2017 Equinox to tow behind our motorhome. I've placed 4-orders with etrailer. So far I've installed the base plate, the wiring from the rear tail lights to the front end.I also received my Tow bar and the quick release parts. my next project is to install the invisi brake system. This item was a replacement for the Roadmaster that was out of stock. It was less expensive and seems to work just fine connecting the toad and mh. At this point I am very satisfied with the service and the product.

Product looks really good, just wish it was a foot longer. I haven't tried it yet.
I hope it doesn't pull out when making turns.
I'm using it on my Saturn toad car, behind my class C fleetwood motor home.

It works great after a year of use. Would have liked the cord to be about a foot longer. Well worth the cost and excellent construction with sealed ends. The cord did come out one time while towing.

Hopkins Nite-Glow Tow Bar Extension Cord w/ Socket Recommendation for RV Towing Vehicle
Sounds like your dinghy vehicle is getting corrosion in it's tow bar lighting connector from driving the vehicle in inclement weather. If you wanted to go with the kit part # HM47044 that would be a great solution to give you a new umbilical from the tow vehicle to the dinghy and a new 4-way for the dinghy as well. If you can I would try to mount the 4-way out of the direct path of possible rain or spray from other vehicles.

Yes, for a tow bar umbilical extension adapter to go between the 4-way flat of the part # HM56304 and a 7-way socket you'd want the Wesbar adapter part # 787196. This has a 5-way flat on one end and a 7-way blade connector on other. The difference between a 5-way and a 4-way is just the extra pin on the outside of the connector. Hopkins shows tail light wiring kit for towed vehicles # HM56009 as the correct option for your 2015 Ford F-150 EcoBoost. There isn't any other plug and play type of harness available for your F-150. From your photos you have a 7-blade connector on the RexAir and a 4 pin round connector on the 1997 Suzuki Sidekick. The blue wire in your photos is a 4 pin to 4 pin connector which will not work to connect the RV and the Suzuki.
