This won't be super cheap but it will give you the best option for converting to disc.   There really isn't an advantage to using hard brake lines over flexible ones. It really comes down to whichever will be easier for you to install. I would recommend the flexible brake line kit part # HS496-252 as it will be easier to install. While they lines are flexible they do not bulge or expand from brake pressure. This brake line setup would work really well with the Hydrastar actuator # HBA16 you mentioned as well as the Kodiak disc brake conversion kit you are going with.
