Today we're going to take a look at the Infinite Rule lock set for the Gen-Y 21,000 pound adjustable ball mount for 2 1/2 inch hitches. It's for a quantity of three locks. Now these are flushed out locking pins that'll replace the standard pins on your Gen-Y 21,000 pound adjustable ball mount. We'll start with the short pin, the one right up here. This short pin will secure your ball mount to your two and a half inch trailer hitch. One of the long pins will secure the ball platform to your ball mount and the other long pin will secure your pin to hook or other accessory to your ball mount platform.These are a heavy duty rust resistant stainless steel construction.

When you take the head off, there's an O ring on here that'll help protect the internal components from any dirt or grime from getting into the inside and if you notice on the end here, they have this rubber weather resistant tethered dust cap that'll help keep water and debris out of the key way of the lock. These lock cores are keyed alike, comes with three keys and they are made in the USA. And just to show you how you would open these to install them, just put your key into the lock and then you just twist your key like you're unbolting or unscrewing a bolt, and then the head will come right off and then you're ready to install it. And if you'll notice, here's that O-ring we talked about that'll help seal, keep any dirt or grime from getting into the inside of the lock.So when you go to install this, you'll just put this portion through the holes and then once it's all the way through, line it up to your head and then you just turn the key the opposite way to tighten it down. And once it gets fully tight, all you have to do is back it off a little bit and pull the key right out, put the cover on, and it's locked all ready to go.

Simple as that.Again, the application for these is the Gen-Y 21,000 pound adjustable ball mount for 2 1/2 inch hitches. These locks do have a sheer strength of 42,000 pounds. Basically the sheer strength is determined by placing this locking pin in a stress position and they subject it to increasing force until the required proof load is met or the pin fails. Each one of these locks has a sheer strength of 42,000 pounds.Pin diameter on the lock is 5/8 of an inch. Give you some dimensions.

We'll start with the short pin. Overall length of it from one end to the other is right at 5 3/4 inches. Inside pin length or span is 3 1/8 inches, and on the two long pins overall length from one end to the other is right at 6 1/4 inches. Inside pin length or span is right at 3 5/8 inches.
