Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Single Rocker Switch. This is going to be an on, on switch. So basically what that means is that it's going to be a single pole, double throw switch. So it'll turn something from one frequency, or one output to another. Basically it's going to just divert power from one channel to another. So if you think of having a light go from the high to dim or something similar to that.
It doesn't really turn it off. It's just going to divert that signal from one pathway to another pathway. So if that's right for your application, this should be a good fit.Can take a little closer look at it, it is going to be a white switch just comes as it is here. This will be able to turn something from high to low, or from left to right, whatever application we're applying this to. As far as size for the cutout, the length needs to be at least three-quarters of an inch, maybe even seven-eighths of an inch.
There's going to be a couple of little tines on either side of this housing to give some tension, to hold it in place. They do squeeze in a little bit, but seven-eighths should be a pretty good size, between three-quarters and seven-eights should fit that guy. Width wise, looking at about a half inch. Overall measurement of the switch itself about a inch and a quarter, by about seven-eights of an inch. And then it's about half an inch deep, or tall, however you want to look at it.For the power output, again, single pole double throw, or dual throw.
It's going to be rated for 16 amps at 125, up to 250 volts AC. Or, three-quarter horsepower at 250 volts AC, or between 125 and 250 volts AC. Can handle 10 amps at 14 volts DC. And this is made in the USA. Again, it comes in white, and that's about all there is to it for our look at the on, on switch.
I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right one for you. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, thanks for watching.
