What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this refrigerator vent latch from JR Products. It's just going to be a replacement part that goes in one of the corners here of your refrigerator vent. We got one that broke, so we're ready to pop that one out. So we're gonna remove the vent and replace it with this one. So just go ahead and take it back out of its spot.
And you see, this is the backside, this one. We're gonna go ahead and replace this one too, just because we got two of them in the pack. This one's not broken, but just wanna put the new ones in and get it set back up. Let's check it out. So now we came back inside so we can have a tabletop to kind of work on, easier to show you how to pop these out.
So this one's not broken, but what we're gonna do is get a Phillips screwdriver and just kind of pry up on that top part, see how it starts to pop out on its own, and then you don't need the screwdriver anymore. You can kind of twist it with your hand and it'll pop out. So we've got our new ones here. We're gonna kind of do the opposite. And pull that pin back out, that way this section can clamp in a little bit smaller and then push it into place, just like that.
You can rotate that, push it in further and you've replaced it. Comes in a kit of two, so you have both of them we're gonna replace. Just gonna go and do the same thing for the other one, and then we can go put our vent back on outside. I'm back outside, I just slid the vent back into place. And with these up and down, you can see it goes right there in a place.
Then I'll come back with my Flathead screwdriver, twist that, and that locks it in. And now you can't remove the vent, and it's nice and tight. Overall, it's a good replacement part to have. You don't want the vent rattling as you drive down the road, and these are quite common to break, so they're easy to replace. That's another good thing. Just make sure you look at your vent and see which clips you have. You can look at the ones you have, like let's say one broke so you can take the other one out and look at it. There's thin and thick versions of this. We have both of them on our website, just look. If it's a really thin plastic, you're gonna need the thin ones, depending on your vent cover. And if it's a little thicker then you're gonna go with a thick one like we use today to keep this vent in place. Well I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped..

Includes 2 latches.Purchased both "thin" and "thick" sizes, just in case. Thick (3/16) is correct size for 2016 Thor Axis 24.1 frig vent; thin is probably for metal or very thin plastic covers. Fast delivery, fits perfectly, easy to install, and etrailer.com always has what we need.
2 pack. Each latch comes as one piece with no instructions. I figured out what to do. Works great. Only concern is that I needed to do some things to make it work properly. Ok if you are mechanical and/or industrious.

Neena - 06/29/2022I bought them for the outside access door for the refrigerator of a 2010 KZ Spree 310RLS.
The latches come with the inner wedge attached to the outer hole by a small bit of flashing, they twist apart easily but a small bit of flashing remains to prevent wedge from entering hole it is easily removed with a sharp knife or other tool being careful not to remove to much. The wedge enters the hole at an angle and twists slightly while entering through the capture cogs.
They work perfectly once assembled and look like new.

These were an exact fit for the broken latches on my vent door.
I received my order on time and properly packaged. The vent door locks worked perfectly on my 2002 Splash travel trailer. You were the only place I found that had the correct part to replace my broken ones. Considering the lack of supply, the price was very acceptable.
Picture is misleading, however, if your not an RV tech you may not realize that what you rec is a 1 pc unit that you have to break apart and assembly to make it work and look like the picture. A picture before and after might help. Once assembled the item works well. Ordering and shipping was good, I would do business with these people again.
