Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR products, Deluxe Vent Installation Kit. Now in this kit, we're going to get our roll of butyl tape and several screws to help us get our vent installed, maybe install a plumbing stack, vent, or refrigerator vent. Just about anything that you'd be putting into your RV to improve your life and improve your camping experience. A lot of times, these are used for roof vents or fans in the top of your vehicle, the butyl tape is going to create that waterproof seal in between that vent and your roof line and help keep everything nice and water tight.

It's also a good idea to get some self leveling sealant to go on top of that as well, to help improve that overall experience. You can find that here at etrailer.com self-leveling sealant, you'll also find no-sag sealant as well if you need that for any of your other installs on something that's mounted onto a wall and would be going vertical.So in our kit, we get this eight foot roll of butyl tape, which should be a pretty good length to use just about anywhere we need it. Pretty much just unspool it, tear it at the spot where you need it to be and press it into place. The longer it sits, the tighter it holds so as it's sitting there, it'll create a stronger and stronger bond to your roof, or anywhere that you use it. We'll get a number of screws here.

We do get 36 screws in total. 4 of those are going to be kind of button capped, white screws. Those help to make it a little bit. less noticeable anywhere that you mount, if you're say mounting a fan on the inside of your vehicle, those can help to hide that.I did notice a couple of these screws are not exactly usable. This one doesn't have a slot to screw it down.

It's just kind of a flat top, but it still has sort of shallow threads on it. It's really more of a nail screw. I'm not sure what the deal is with that one and then we get one random conical tooth head screw in this kit as well. I think that they just kind of threw a bunch of screws into the kit, so you might get some random, extra.. different screws, but most of these are about an inch in length...

as far as the thread goes. Then the head of each one of those is about a quarter inch. Pretty typical screws there to get our install all completed but that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the JR products, Deluxe Vent Installation Kit..
