I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement mounting brackets for Vision X Optimus Halo LED Fog Light Upgrade Kit.This is going to be a custom fit for the Jeep JK, so that's going to work for the Jeep Wrangler from 2011 to 2017, and then the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. These custom brackets allow you to mount that light in place of your old fog light, and it also comes with the two wiring harnesses so that you can just plug this right into the socket for your fog lights, and you don't have to worry about any kind of cutting or splicing, just plugs right in and you're ready to go.And that other end is going to plug directly into your Vision X light. I've got one right here. It should look something like this to go with your Jeep. And it comes with this sort of U-bracket, which you can remove this part and then just reuse this hardware to attach your brackets.
Scoot everything down so you can actually see this. If we back off that bolt head, we can use the flat washer and then the star washer and the little rubber grommet underneath to mount our brackets on either side of that light. Once it's done, it should look something like that. And then those three holes, we'll get the original hardware from the mounting position of your fog light, so we'll just reuse that existing factory hardware to mount this in place. Or, your lights should come with a tool to remove that hardware there, so it shouldn't be too bad getting that undone. Makes it really easy to get your Jeep fitted with some new fancy lights so that you can see what's going on in any kind of off-road situation.Our brackets are made of a durable aluminum, which is going to be the same as the housing for our Vision X lights, so we don't have to worry about any kind of corrosion. You don't need any kind of galvanized isolators there. They'll work for a long time, no rusting, and it has a nice black powder-coat finish so that it's going to keep it discreet. You don't see your brackets on the outside of the Jeep, you'll just be able to see your lights.
