Hi there, do-it-yourselfers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor for the 25 Series. The replacement kit has everything you need to get it replaced. Let's replace the motor together.Our motor's located here. As you can see, it's above the steps, so we can't access the bolts to replace it. There's a cotter pin here, and I should be able to pull this cotter pin to manually release our steps.
With our cotter pin removed, we can now take out the pin located here. And now, with our pin removed, we can manually lower down our steps. We can now take down our motor using a 10mm socket, by removing the three bolts. And then disconnect our electrical connector, located here, by pressing in on the release tab and pulling it outward. Sometimes, it can be a little difficult, because this has been under here so long, with dirty and debris and everything on it, so you may need to use a pair of needle-nose or something to squeeze the tab and help you pull it out.Once you've got that removed, you can plug in your new motor.
We can then slide it back up into place. And I do recommend, before you actually put it all the way back up, you get your arm situated, because you won't be able to move this afterwards. And it's easier to put the pin and stuff back in while it's open. So get those lined up, and get your pin put back in.We can re-install the bolts, tighten them down, and we can put our cotter pin back in now. After you put the cotter pin in, you want to make sure that you fold at least one leg over, so it can't slide back out by itself.

Replaced both and working perfectly..
Fit perfect. Needed to replace bolt that is used to attach stair arm to gear. Also there were nylon supports that this gear rides on you should replace while your at it. Install it was easy if you remove whole assembly. Only has four bolts hold it to stair assembly. Makes much easier to do this gear and motor.
I received the part in a timely manner and installed it. Works fine.
