Replaces the control unit on your Kwikee powered RV entry steps. Unit wires steps to RV and works with motor (sold separately) to automatically extend and retract steps when the RV door is opened or shut. Includes 2 door switches.

Specs:
Note: Will only work with Kwikee steps manufactured before 2006.
The ignition override feature is a safety feature that will retract your steps if the RV's ignition is sensed. This way, if you forget to stow your steps, they will retract automatically to prevent damage while traveling.

Replaces the control unit on your Kwikee powered RV entry steps. Unit wires steps to RV and works with motor (sold separately) to automatically extend and retract steps when the RV door is opened or shut. Includes 2 door switches. The controller works fine, but it is not a drop-in replacement for older controllers. No wiring diagrams were included. I found the attached on line. That explained the extra purple wire. The mounting holes were slightly closer together than the original holes. I had to over size the holes and it then mounted fine.

It is working better than the rest of the motorhome. We do not use the motorhome a lot, but the step controller has been flawless.
The Kwikee steps controller was easy to put in and now our steps are working again.Thank you.
No wiring diagraham with assembly sheet. I found that the Magnetic switch in door was the problem not the controller. Already had the new unit installed. That magnetic switch problem caused my about 10hrs. of work.

Its working fine
I had to call to verify this part was the direct replacement part for my RV Step. The parts dept was extremely helpful and confirmed that I had the correct part. The part delivered before the scheduled delivery date and after I installed it my RV Step worked perfectly again! Thank you etrailer.com!
My 22 year old controller started to fail, with intermittent problems with the steps not going, out or randomly not going in. Occasionally they wouldn't retract when I started the engine, then one day the step wouldn't come out no matter how many times I opened and closed the door. Went through the Kwikee troubleshooting guide and determined the controller was bad. This replacement controller solved the problems and they work correctly every time now. One thing to note if you are replacing an older controller - mine was dated 1997 - the bypass switch works differently. In the old controller, if you want the steps to remain out after the door is closed you'd put the switch in the OFF position. When I installed the new controller I thought something was wrong because my steps would go back in when I closed the door. Turns out the new controller keeps the steps out when the switch is on the ON position - opposite of the original controller. Also as the instruction say you must change out the door switch too which is included in the kit because it too works opposite of the old style switches. None last thing: The new controller is more compact than the original but bolts right up to the same screw holes. No modification was needed. The instructions say to mark the original coach wires before cutting to keep the colored connections straight, but I cut the wires of the old controller and used them connecting the same color wires together. Less chance of a mix up.
The oder was processed and the part was delivered n a timely manner. Installation was straight forward and the Kwikee step was immediately functioning properly again. I have always found etrailer to be knowledgeable and responsive with a good supply of parts.
Thank you etrailer! From the moment I spoke with Lori, I felt confident we'd made the right decision on what part to buy and where to buy it. She was professionally expert in making certain we would get the absolutely exact part we needed, which was well priced and delivered to our door free of charge, exactly when promised. Then, when the electronic steps controller was installed yesterday, our entry steps worked perfectly again. No more sagging and partially retracting steps. We could not be happier. Thank you Lori and, of course, etrailer.
The package arrived in less than three days. It took me about 1 hour to install. All the pieces I needed were there except for a 14" piece of wire loom that the manufacturer had installed to protect the ground wire. Everything fit as needed. I tested the the operation of the step and it worked the first time. The included instructions were not exactly the ones for this installation but were close enough that they were very helpful. Thank you for giving me a product that was exactly what I needed.
I have ordered other products from you and as always i am very pleased with the product thank you again.
My order for a new controller and motor for my RV steps was received just 3 days after the order was placed. I expected it to take at least a week. Today I removed the old step controller and motor and installed the new parts. Everything went very well with no problems The steps now works as good as it did when my RV was new.
Thank you for your good service and thank you for having parts which fit my 20 year old RV.
Easy to install and worked great.
Worked Thanks
very good product, having
trouble with your magnetic switch, crazy, but it works when opening and closing screen door, when big door is closed with screen door it doesn't work i will use a push button switch instead. tried it and it is working.
Woks great and the ignition interface functions safer than the original
I ordered the LC379606. You sent me a completely different one. I'm leaving on a trip and have no step controller. You don't even have it in stock. Now I have to return it and have $200 plus tied up till you decide to credit my money back. Did the order puller just say.."This looks good ..I'll send it"?
Installed into a 1999 Dolphin that had the sealed module. This unit worked perfectly. The three screw holes for mounting aligned with three of the old four. I did have to change out the door switch to the one that came with this unit as the old switch works backwards (normally closed -vs- normally opened issue). It was a very easy process and the kit came with everything needed.
Installed on a 1999 Fleetwood American Dream.
Someone removed the old faulty module and rewired a manual DPDT switch to my series 28 step. I wanted the Ignition override to function so I didn’t accidentally leave it out on the road.
Straight forward installation and functions as is should.
My new brake controller actually beat my expectation for delivery, fit perfectly and operates flawlessly. I appreciated the follow up by their representatives for delivery notices and follow up... Way to go guys...!!
