I wanted something to replace tail light functions while traveling with bikes on back. Installation was easy, as I only needed 4' of 1" sq. Aluminum tubing, and 2 -10" L brackets from big box. Being LED, these lights are very visible during daylight hours. Besides the cost of the lights, the other materials were less than $20.00. I no longer worry about cars behind me not knowing my intention. I would highly recommend as a possible solution when carrying bikes on the rear. 792376

I needed to put some tail lights on my 1up bike rack. These lights worked because of their size and the mounting bracket. I used a piece of 1" aluminum bar stock to stand it of the rack frame. The lights do work well. Connections were easy. I would recommend these lights. 481200

Could Lets Go Aero LED Light Kit # H01540 Attach to Rear of Vehicle
Since the Lets Go Aero LED Light Kit # H01540 was intended to install on a cargo carrier you'd have to get a little creative to install it on a 2007 Acura RDX. Since it's a stud mount you'd have to drill holes in the vehicle and attach the nuts and washers on the back side of the lights.

There is definitely a light kit you can use with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Platform Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier # HR1450Z-85 on your 2016 Chevy Equinox. I recommend the Lets Go Aero LED Light Kit # H01540 because it comes with easy to use surface mounting brackets and has a 72" wiring harness, which will be enough for you to plug into the Curt Wiring Harness # C56210 that you mentioned you have on your '16 Equinox. Wiring Harness Connections for Cargo Carrier
The etrailer License Plate and LED Tail Light Mounting Kit for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier # e98943-44LED will have brackets that are flush with the carrier and the lights will stick out slightly just like the ROLA kit # 59516 or # 20174. The wiring harness like you are referring to will look almost identical as well. The harness will do the same thing. If you want more clearance on the back side you would need to splice in the 90 degree connectors # A47PB which will make the interference...
