Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Lippert components Tucson high speed, fifth wheel RV landing gear motor. Now, this is going to upgrade your existing system with the electric motor, so that you can get your landing gear deployed quickly and easily and get on to enjoying your camping trip. Now, Lippert components power landing gear is going to be pretty much standard on most fifth wheels, that are produced today. So, this is going to allow you to extend that landing gear and retract it as well. It comes pre-assembled, so it's really not too hard to install, you'll just have your bolts that go on top of your landing gear. Now, this is just the motor by itself. It doesn't come with any other equipment or hardware for it.
So, if you need any other components, you will have to pick those up separately. We'll have our two leads there, for power and ground, so you will also have to connect those into your wiring on your RV.The motor does have a 7140 rpm rating and a 5000 pound capacity. This is for use on the LCI power landing gear assemblies and this product is also made in the USA. As far as the dimensions with this, overall going from the top of that cylinder down to the end of the motor there, it's going to be about 8 and 1/2 inches. Going to the end of our bolts, it's going to be more like 9 and 1/4.
As far as our width, it will be at about 4 inches and depth overall is going to be about 3 and 1/2. And, that's going to do it for our look at the Lippert components Tucson high speed, fifth wheel RV landing gear motor.

This works fine but not much faster than the original. If I was to do it again I would purchase the heavy duty motor rather than the fast one because I believe the strain of weight slows it down and there would be less strain on the heavy duty motor
I have a 2011 Heatland Graystone (29mk model). It has aways strained to lift the front off my truck and more times than not, it would blow the 30amp fuse (which is in a difficult place to replace). I got smarter and replaced the fuse with an auto reset type fuse. But putting that much strain on the motor causes it to ware out.
After reading a couple articles mostly on etrailer I decided to go to a dual motor set up. I measured the length of the leg and called in my plan to your support team. I matched my existing motor so the speed of both motors is the same. The mechanical process was pretty easy, pull the old following leg and put in the new lead leg and connect the gear box and motor. Electrical is easy too, and I cheated for one switch by cutting the wires off my old switch and spliced the new switch in. (NOTE, mark the black leads before cutting them off, so you know which one is for ground and which one is for motor).
Because my motor arrived with a one lead slightly damaged, and because the motor didn't come with mounting screws, and no instructions on anything, I dropped the rating to 4 starts vs. 5 stars. Even the link you sent with additional instructions didn't have any. Also the switch wiring to the motor had to be reversed in order to have the extend button make the leg extend, and retract do the same. (ie red lead to black lead on the motor, etc)
Order process is user friendly! Received my order a day ahead of time. Was kept informed of the process through out to delivery!
I think you should use the address as entered. Postal Service WILL NOT deliver to my street address so I put "BOX 538" behind my street address so the Post Office knows which box to deliver to. I expected you to use UPS or I would just used my PO Box!
It works but really isn't that much faster than the "slower" OEM was.
Exact match to OEM! Great support from Brittany all the way thru the project...
My fifth wheel had an old Atwood leg assembly, so I wasn't able to find a replacement for the original part, Atwood #71113. I did find some suggestions on here that this motor would work as a plug-and-play replacement. Happy to report that is exactly what this was plug and play. Just had to twist the gear slightly so it lined up with the new motor, fit the new part on, screwed it in and hooked up the wires. Took me about five minutes all told.
One weird note, it did reverse the directions from the original Atwood switch. So pressing "extend" now retracts, and vice versa. The switch was put in pretty tight so I just used tape to relabel the buttons.

Still going strong.
Great product, on time delivery. Works great, would recommend. Amy is great person to work with.
I received the Lippert high speed motor in 3 days. It was an exact fit upgrade from the original motor on my Cedar Creek fifth wheel landing gear. The high speed motor is quieter and considerably faster than the slow grinding original. Thank you etrailer.

One year later and my Lippert high speed motor has been a great improvement for my landing gear.
This motor was a perfect upgrade for my LC142178 motor. Easy to install and landing gear moves noticeably faster. It does put more strain on the batteries than the slower motor, so make sure you are fully charged.
The only issues I had we're that one of the mounting bolts was bent and (as mentioned in other reviews) the wiring is backwards from the factory installed motor. You either need to reverse the wiring hookup or use the switch in the opposite direction of what you want.
Works well so far! Spent a bit more for this motor due "back order" status on a different model #. Hopefully this one lasts! It's a replacement one I purchased and installed from a local trailer parts house a couple of years ago.
Haven't installed the motor yet, but the service and delivery were excellent.
It is faster than the standard motor. Installed fairly easy on our Jayco.
Seems quieter than the removed motor.
Although this is presented as a direct replacement for an Atwood/Lippert MPD 71119 motor. It’s Isn’t.
You’ll need to trim the mounts to 3/8 inch. Works fine though.
But, since you can’t find the MPD 71119 anymore, I think this is your only recourse.
etrailer has the best customer service. This motor was an exact replacement of the one on my camper. Delivery was quick.
Motor is super quiet and still going strong 1 year later.

It was no faster than the original and not worth the money to me I ended up replacing the entire landing system with a dual motor individual controlled landing gear set up
