Today we're going to take a look at the Replacement Awning Extension Rod for Solera Slide-Topper Awning. This is going to come in black, and it's going to measure 18 and five-eighths of an inch long, and it comes as a quantity of one.This is going to be our direct replacement part from Lippert Components to replace your Solera black extension rod. This is the portion that slides from your slide out bracket into your awning. This is a very important piece, and a lot of times it can get bent or maybe broken. So this is going to replace that for you. Again, it is going to measure 18 and five-eighths of an inch.
It's going to be about one inch wide, going from the peak of one of those hexes to the other. But again, this is going to be a direct replacement, so it will fit with your hex bar extension bracket.Now if you need the bracket itself, we do have that available here at etrailer.com. The part number for that is going to be LC27224412. That's going to do it for our look at the Replacement Awning Extension Rod for Solera Slide-Topper Awning in black.

Replaces (1) 18-5/8" long extension rod for your Solera slide-topper awning manufactured before 2022.This is the exact replacement for our 2008 A&E Slidetopper Hex Extension Bar. Length and width and material and color are exactly like original. Some of the experts in the Q&A are wrong when they say that this is not the exact replacement and that A&E needs to be contacted. Another expert stated in the video that the hex width is about an inch, this is incorrect and not true. The listing name for this product should be changed to: for pre2022 Solera AND A&E Slidetopper.
The arm broke out of the blue while we were at a camp near home. I was really panicking about getting this replaced before our next trip in two weeks. Through some researching I found the right part but couldn’t find any installation instructions (youtube or anywhere else. I read the Q&A on the order page on the etrailer website for that part. Piece of cake! Changed out in about an hour. Perfect match! Shipping was fast! They shipped same day and I received it in three days. Back up an running, ready for the next trip way ahead of time!

These plates were direct replacements and have worked out over the past year without issue. It was an easy install originally and I am happy with my purchase.

So far has worked well
The locking set screw threaded hole was not the right size. I had to re-drill hole and tap the hole to the right thread size to work.
Exactly as the same as the factory installed . Customer service help was great . Definitely my first place to look for trailer parts .
