Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at this replacement leg for your Lippert SolidSteps. This is gonna work with a variety of different models for both the tri and the quad steps, so make sure you look at the part numbers listed on the page and you've got the right one that is for this replacement part. Let's check out that process. Now, the first thing I'm gonna do is actually get the bolt and the nut taken off of the foot plate here and remove that, because the leg is just for the leg. If you need the foot plate, you can get that part separately, but it's not included with the leg, so we're gonna be reusing this.
Now, obviously ours is fine right now, but if yours is damaged and you need to replace it, all you gotta do is go up to the adjustment pin, pop that out. And once that has been removed, we can just slide the old leg out and take the new one and slide it in. With the new one, you'll notice that the holes are all offset, these are our adjustment holes, and the ones at the very bottom on the other side are gonna be for the foot plate, so we know that's the bottom. You'll just slot in like our old one did. I'm just going to loosely set that pin in place right now to keep it held up and reattach my foot plate.
And then, we can set it down and get it set to the appropriate height for our steps, or at this point, if you're not using it, then just pop it back into the camper. But right about here, I'd day it's good, fully insert that pin, and then the leg is all replaced. And that's really all there is to it, the leg is a very simple part to replace. My one complaint is it doesn't come with anything else you need, that adjustment pin isn't included, and then the foot plate isn't included either. So if you need those parts, be sure to check out our website and get those as well.
But otherwise, that'll do it for our look at and the installation of this replacement leg for your Lippert SolidSteps, both the tri and the quad step models. Thanks for watching.

It's a hunk of extruded aluminum. If they screwed it up I'd be worried.

The replacement is still going strong. We have had no issues with our steps once we got them fixed.
Our camper came with the Solid Steps. This is a great set of steps, but one of the adjustable legs was missing upon delivery of the camper. I ordered this one and it is an exact replacement for that leg! I just wish that the feet came on the leg. Instead, the feet have to be purchased separately. I am very pleased with the aesthetic appearance, quality, and the feeling of stability when walking on the steps. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs a replacement leg or legs for your Solid Steps. Also, a shout out to the awesome CSA Rep who assisted me on the phone to find other parts that I was needing! She has the patience of a saint!!
Great company
I was thankful to find the replacement parts for my solid steps for our RV. But disappointed in the fact ETrailers seems to have a monopoly on some of these products and charges accordingly...excessively.
I was happy with the way the leg replacement worked but a couple things come to mind:
1) There was an oily feel that I assume was from the cutting oil that I had to wipe off.
2) There was a "ding" one one edge that I filed off to avoid cutting my finger.
While neither affected the functionality, it was something I didn't expect to have to do...
