Today we'll be taking a look at the Solera 30 inch projection XL window awning support arms. These are going to be that bottom portion that actually mounts to your RV to help get your awning out and help you to save a little bit of energy from having to run your AC as much. That top end will connect to the rest of that awning arm, which is sold separately, as well as the awning roller. These are designed for manual RV window awnings and these are going to be the extra large or XL window awning, so this is going to be if you have a window that measures 32 inches or greater, and that's going to be the height of the window. The arm size that we have here is 30 inches. That's measuring from the bottom to this top edge here. Comes with all the hardware necessary to mount it up.
We'll have eight button head screws. They have a square bit at the top to mount them up and we'll have 10 of these, so there'll be four for each arm at the bottom and then two to go for this connection here. These are going to be slightly different than these two screws, which we'll use to mount our strap keeper. The strap keeper's screws have a slightly larger head on that bolt so that's how you can tell those apart. That strap keeper as well will slip on the strap loop that we'll have to pull to keep our awning out and that's what'll actually keep it pulled down. That also mounts to the side of our RV and it is included with this. That measures about two and a half inches long by about an inch wide.
The distance between those mounting holes, center to center, is about two inches. And then that strap opening is about three eighths of an inch wide. Overall, it stands about three quarters of an inch tall, just to give you some reference points. Our foot measures three and a half inches wide by two inches. The distance between our mounting holes, again center to center, is going to be one and a half inches by three inches. This does come with a limited one year warranty.
And again, to figure out what size you'll need, you need to measure the outside frame to the outside frame of your window to get the right cover size, and then round up to the next size. And then you also want to measure the height and if your window measures 32 inches or greater, that's when you'll need this extra large model. You also need to have one part number for the window awning roller and one part number for the hardware arms to make a complete awning. So those are two separate components that you can find it right here at etrailer.com. And that's going to do it for a look at the Solera 30 inch projection XL window awnings support arms for RVs..
