Today we'll be taking a look at the replacement operator mechanism for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe roof vents. This is going to be a direct replacement from Maxxair for that crucial component to actually open up your vent or fan. You can see when I turn this small portion that little hex portion turns. So that's what's going to open or close our vent and provide us with good circulation inside our RV or camper. This is a fit for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus part number MA00-04500K or the Maxxair Deluxe MA00-070003 or MA00-0700K. That's for the powered lift roof vent.It doesn't come with any other hardware.
It just comes with the mechanism and then this small bushing to go over that portion there. It will reuse the same hardware to attach this in place. It'll get you back to working with your vent. Perfect replacement for my Maxxair 7500K exhaust fan. It came with good instructions with pictures:-) The hardest part was climbing up the ladder of my motorhome.

Exact part. Easy parts look up and checkout. Communication from e-trailer on order and shipping status, part arrived early.
Easy to follow direction booklet included. 10 minute installation and 10 minutes of cleaning Maxxair blades, rain sensor,vent cover, shroud and Maxxair hood. In addition I used a seal cleaner and conditioner to renew vent cover seal. Vent cover was sticking before which may have led to part failure.
Vent works just like new!
Pictures show broken part and new part.

This Replacement Operator Mechanism was exactly what we needed to make our MaxxAir Fan work like new. It was easy to install (after watching a couple of YouTube videos)
It was a smooth process to order from etrailer but it took awhile for them to get it back in stock. etrailer was great & kept us informed of the whole process It was shipped out to us fast once they got it.

4 stars because an inherent problem has never been corrected. That being said, after all these years the Mfg'r still isn't putting spacers under the operating gear. Consequently it is impossible to properly install without creating undue torque on the gear which makes it crack. It is NECESSARY to put a couple small washers between the gear and the base before screwing down. Failure to do so will cost you another round of gears in the near future. If you choose to ignore this, well, so be it. (Could not get camera close enough for a clear picture).

Our old MaxxFan operator mechanism had cracked in half. This item, MA10-20281K-1AF, was the part needed to restore our fan lid functionality. The replacement operator came with a new internally splined shaft but it was too small to fit our existing motor. We had to reuse the splined shaft off of our old operator. We took away one star because of this and because these parts are so cheaply made. We don't open our vent often and feel this part should not have broken this soon. We took away a second star because it's also very overpriced.

My power vent wouldn't work, so I got on the roof of my RV and discovered that the Operator Mechanism was broke. I order a new one from etrailer and it's is still working great.

Works as advertised - Easy to install and there have been no issues to date. I'm using the trailer at least 3 weeks a month so the fan gets routine usage.

Im not exactly sure how the original part broke, but it did. This replacement part felt and looked stronger than the original. I had to climb up on the roof but it was a fairly quick and easy install. Part worked great. I was using the trailer for a solid 18 months with no break - so that vent opened and closed countless times without fail.

The MaxxAir replacement Operator Mechanism was exactly as advertised. The part was out of stock nationwide from the manufacturer. Upon receipt of my order staff at etrailer made contact with me to notify me of the back order and to offer an alternative part. The alternative part would not work for me so I chose to wait. etrailer did a great job of keeping me informed with regular emails on the status of shipment from the manufacturer. I highly recommed ordering from etrailer. They are a very responsible distributor and their pricing is always competitive.

The MaxxAir Replacement Operator Mechanism continues to work great one year after installation. Our trailer has two vents and I replaced the operators in both. Apparently the aluminum operator corrodes over time, which causes it to deteriorate and crumble. The replacement parts appear to be holding up well.

Use these vents alot in my RV and this part is still holding up. Replacing the whole vent after minor part failures is really cost prohibitive so being able to replace parts like this is really helpful.

The Maxxair vent cover 1 yr later is working perfect and as intended. The fan in the vent has a rain sensor and before the cover was installed we could not open the vent during rain or till the sensor is dry The vent is above the stove so while cooking that used to be an issue not being able to open the vent during rain. The Maxxair vent cover nicely solved that issue. If this is a problem for you then I highly recommend the vent cover

The part (x3) was on backorder for several months before I finally received it. Otherwise Etrailers customer service was always sending me updates on the status of the part until I actually received delivery.

The part was easy enough for me to install myself on the MaxxFan airvent. To date the part is still doing what it is suppose to do lower and raise the arm of the airvent and no breakage has occured.

The internal gearing came apart on the old one. Ordered the replacement part and is now good as new. Installation was easy and only took about 15 minutes.

It’s been a year since we ordered and replaced the Replacement Operator Mechanism for the Maxxair and it’s been working fine. The fan is turned on and off several times a day and so far is still operating correctly. Expensive part but we’ll worth it and I want to thank etrailer for carrying it.
