One of them failed after only a 1000 miles. E Trailer would not warranty it so I had to get in touch with Morryde and they took care of me.

The factory originals were worn out after about 10 years, had these new ones installed with the Moryde heavy duty shackle kit, went on a long trip recently, working great, smooth ride. Camper sits maybe an inch higher now, gives you an idea how much the old rubber had cracked/deteriorated.

by:

One of the grease Certs is messed up . I would like it replaced. It is on a long bolt .

by:

As usual you came through with flying c olors

Ed at E Trailer is awesome! Thanks for your help with getting me the right part I needed for my RV, sand for your attention to detail with processing my order so quickly. I replaced both rubber shear springs, quite a job. My mind will be at ease now when we take our trip out west.
Ed, you rock!!
Thanks again,
Mike

by:

Product looked very good once they were unboxed only issue was a few of the bolts stripped out while trying to tighten them, had to use old ones to finish the job, hopefully the ones that were used do not strip out while driving, other than that looked like quality metal on the shackles and bushings, will let you know how everything goes,we got a 2100 mile trip out to Arizona to do.

by:

The new shear springs fit perfect. We are on the road again.

Everything is working good the only thing I did was change the grease fittings to 90 degree instead of straight fittings the zerks are too close to the tires to get a grease gun on them.

The shear spring and wet bolt kit product were great and installation was fairly easy. However lining up the spring shackles was a challenge. The live help I received was fantastic, and very helpful. The shipping, follow up and tracking are second to none. I highly recommend e-trailer for all Rv needs or just answers to questions.

  • Replacement Shear Spring Options for a MORryde Trailer Suspension System

  • Is It Safe To Travel With Worn Shear Spring On A MORryde Suspension System
Hey Paul, You most likely could still pull the trailer if you really needed to even though the shear spring # MR35UR needs to be replaced, I just would make it a short trip and get it swapped out. A bad shear spring can lead to a rough ride quality and allow for more sway. At that length there's a greater chance for sway as it is. The shear spring cushions the suspension so without it the other components will start to wear faster as well. There should be a number embossed into the...

  • Correct MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for 2013 Keystone Monatana Mountaineer With LRE4000
The # MR78ZR kit is designed for the older RE suspension and won't work with your setup. You have the LRE4000 if you have the #20 shear springs. You will still need to replace the rubber shear spring with the # MR79UR. Then you can use upgrade kit # MR79ZR which is designed for the LRE4000.

  • Replacing/Upgrading The Suspension On A 2007 Colorado Tandem Axle 5th Wheel With LRE Suspension
It sounds like you are definitely on the right track here. The # MR79ZR is indeed the correct suspension upgrade kit for your 2007 Colorado 5th wheel with LRE suspension. Moryde makes a fantastic suspension upgrade kit. The heavy duty shackles and wet bolts are highly durable and will last a very long time as long as you keep them properly greased. The shear spring # MR79UR is also correct for this setup. The leaf springs might be a bit more tricky, since you are measuring them under a...

  • Upgraded Suspension Components for 2016 Jayco Pinnacle 38 FLSA
You can use 8k springs on a trailer that has 7k axles. You'd just have a little more spring capacity than needed. If the dimensions of your springs are the same as the part # DX74XR springs then you would not need new hangers. Worth mentioning is that even if the dimensions are different you could always cut off your current hangers and weld them back on in the correct location. Everything you mentioned would fit and work great. MorRyde Suspension upgrade kit # MR79ZR Replacement of...

Based on the GVWR I was able to find for your 2009 Montana 3000RK and the axle capacity that would be needed for that the correct MORryde sheer spring you'd need would be the part # MR79UR which is correct for axle ratings between 6,501 and 7,500 lbs which would be what your trailer would have based on it's total 15k GVWR and it being a tandem axle trailer.

You can verify this by looking for a "20" printed into the rubber.
