Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics 3-wire Pigtail for Optronics lights. This is their weather tight plug. The pigtail with the weather tight plug is going to allow you to wire your Optronics light to your trailer. This is designed specifically for use with Optronics stop-, tail-, and turn-lights that have a weather tight connection point. On this end we're going to have the female weather tight plug that's going to connect to the back of the trailer light. Then you're going to have a 3-wire design. The white wire is going to be your ground wire. That's going to have a No. 10 ring terminal on it. Then you're going to have a black wire.
That's going to be for the tail-lights. Then you're going to have your red wire, which is going to be for your stop- or turn-signals. The wire length on this unit is going to measure around 10 inches. On this side you're also going to have a weather tight gasket. That's going to keep the elements away from the connection points. Real quick, I just want to go ahead and show you how it would connect to the back of a light. I have a trailer-light right here from Optronics that does feature the weather tight connection point here on the back of it. Very simple. All you do is you would place the plug directly into that connection point. It's got this little tab right here that's going to engage the clip, which is going to keep it nice and secure inside the connection area there. When you're ready to disconnect it, you lift up on that tab to release it and then you simply pull it out of the connection point. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics 3-wire Pigtail.

Water tight and had dielectric grease already in the connector , perfect for wiring my new l.e.d taillights
Good quality, etrailer is great to do business with!
Replaced my vintage trailer brake lights with the LED Optronics and these pigtails made it an easier install.
I used on my UTV to upgrade lighting.Excellent product, fast shipping and quick response to a question I had. Highly recommend
Exactly what I needed to complete my pr oject.
The pigtails are great, however being that this is the only method of connection, they should have been include with the LED lights that I purchased.
These were installed on a box truck that had no side markers. They're extremely bright and make the turn signal quite obvious to drivers in other lanes that cannot see the rear lights. These were a major improvement in safety for our truck.
Great product, Super fast shipping
I stretched out a pontoon trailer and added an extra axle. Ordered wheels , tires , tail lights and marker lights from etrailer and received all my order very quick and everything was great. The service is outstanding
I purchased a set of Optronics One LED tail lights (stl003rfb) awhile back for an upcoming project. I guess I had not read all the details. There was no wiring pig tail. Not much good without them. Rec'd and installed them this eve.. Brake light bright enough but running light quite dim. Description says "DOT approved", but just for safety I must replace them.
Pigtails were fine though.
when I ordered the trailer lights your website should have told me that it takes 2 different pig tails to hook up the lights .I waited for my order only to find out that I need 2 different sets. Not only did I have to postpone my installation I had to order 2 more pig tails and pay additional shipping. Good product. Maybe show the back of the lights on your view and people will see that you need 2 sets of wiring!
One year after installation, these lights are still going strong. The visibility of the brake/turn/tail lights is exponentially greater, especially at longer distances on the interstate and in the daytime.
Worked great with the waterproof tail lights. Been in use for over one year with great performance.
The brake lights I ordered online for my travel trailer arrived on time as promised. When the original model I ordered wasn't available for 3 months, they suggested an alternative that was available that fits and works perfectly. Great service.
Fit tight into light socket
I used these instead of the adapters that had two connectors. Cheaper and worked perfect.
I plugged it in and it worked. I'm frustrated that it's not included with the lights in the first place.
Electrical pigtail as always part is great quality as described no issues whatsoever
Thanks I received everything and it was what I expected. As I do more work on trailers I will be a returning customer.
Been on my trailer for a year and have had zero problems
