Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Pace Edwards Replacement Sweep Seal. This is going to replace the sweep seal that creates that nice, watertight seal along the sides of your Pace Edwards Retractable Tonneau Cover. Where that retractable cover is going to meet the top rail. This will work with several Pace Edwards models, including the Bedlocker, Bedlocker with Explorer Rails, the Full-Metal JackRabbit, the JackRabbit, the Switchblade and Ultragroove. With this kit, you are going to get 17 feet of this seal material.
They do recommend that you cut it to length. The instructions are included to help you get everything installed. So you'll just remove the old seal, measure this out about 3 into, 3 inches short of the end of your rail, then you'll stretch it, so that it will be a nice tight seal along the rail. They do include these roll pins for you to replace the originals. Help to keep the seal in place.
The instructions do recommend using some soapy water, as you slide the seal through the rail groove but everything that you're going to need to replace that sweep seal is going to be included here for you. Minus the tools that you'll need to get the roll pins installed. So overall, really nice option. You can trust this is going to work with your tonneau covers, to make sure that you're going to have that nice water resistant seal. So that you don't have to worry about water getting in to anything that you have under the tonneau cover.

This seal didn't seem to last as long as the one we had prior to buying this replacement. The tonneau cover itself fell apart again and is discontinued so we replaced the whole thing with another brand. In the end, the seal lasted as long as we needed it to. It was just really chewed up despite using the cleaning and conditioning spray.
Great piece of seal, however the instructions to install were not easy to understand but I got it done. The pins will not come out easy, so I had to drill them out. Overall it was well worth it.
The seal worked great and very easy to install. The factory pins that hold the seal in gave me problems due to not having the right size punch. I ended up drilling the two out with a bit and installed a small head hex screw in place of expansion pins but the kit came with new ones.
Perfect replacement seals. My only recommendation is to use a 1/16" punch to get the old pins out.
Seal roll works perfectly. I did have issues removing the small pins that hold them in place, but once removed installation went smoothly. Follow instructions and you will be able to replace them yourself.
The soapy water works great and the sweep seal looks good once you get it in but getting the metal pin out on each end is very hard! I took the rails off and placed the end in my work bench vise with a towel wrapped around each side so I wouldn’t scratch it. Driving out those old pins was a Chore! I feel you need a small metal punch to get them out!
Worked perfect, and stopped the water leaking in on my cover. Easy to install, especially if you have a small set of punches.

Our order came in on time. Instruction were easy to understand the seal went right on without using any soap. I had to drill out the old pins which made the holes a bit larger so I found 4 very small screws that worked in place of the pins.

It has been a whole year since I installed the new seal. Replacement is working great and appears to be in better shape than the original. Very happy all around!
