Hello everybody, this is Jeff with Etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this surface mount steel mounting bracket for the Peterson Stud-Mount Tail Lights. Now this is a steel mounting bracket that allow you to surface mount most of the Peterson Stud-mount Tail Lights. And just to show you one of the example of one of those lights, I'm gonna pop up an insert. And there's a round stud-mounted Peterson tail light. You can see the two studs in the back.
Those studs would go right into here or this way depending which way you mount it. The bracket itself is a durable powder coat finish, resist corrosion, and it is a surface mount design. Basically this bracket is what attach to your trailer and you could attach it either horizontally like this, or you could attach it vertically like this. You just mount your light on here and then put it into whatever position you need it in. This part is made in the USA.
First thing I'm gonna do is give you some dimensions on the bracket itself. The length of it from this end to this end is right at four and a half inches long. The width, three inches wide. The depth on the mounting portion, about two and one eight inches. Now we'll move to the mounting holes.
So these are the mounting holes. You can see they're elongated holes. These are for mounting it to your trailer. The measurement on those if we go center to center is right about one in three quarter inches. Now the light is usually mounted right here, you can see, and it gives you the options of horizontally this way.
So those center to center is two inches, and these are center to center about two and three-eighths inches. But that should do it for the review on this surface mount steel mounting bracket for the Peterson Stud-Mount Tail Lights.

I mounted these to a custom trailer with hose clamps. My setup is a bit sketchy, but the brackets themselves are excellent, and still look like new after a year out in the weather.
After one year the hitch and light controller I bought are great. The hitch installed easy with the Video instruction help.
The bike rack, hitch kit and light kit allow me to take the bike everywhere we go while here in Germany.

Worked for me, good quality. Used these brackets to mount rear tail lights and turn signals on a 1926 and 1927 model T ford.
Fit my lights, trailer and shipped fast
I didn't have "Peterson" trailer lights. Nor are they round, but these worked great for what I have. My past lights were mounted on the fenders and I wanted something further back and off the fender. I was replacing the fenders and didn't like the idea of bolts pointing down towards a tire. These seem pretty solid in construction. Quality paint job to avoid corrosion. I like them.
Just what I needed for my trailer rebuild. Good price and prompt delivery plus a fair price.
Just what we were looking for. At some point during our trip our light on the boat trailer was ripped completely off. The boat is 50+ years old and we worried we wouldn't find a bracket that worked. We did! Thank you!

Installed easily, powder cote is still in good shape,no rust great bracket for light installation.
It was a perfect fit and replacement for the rusty old one.

It is still fine after a year!!
I have a older wood trailer. with the limited space to mount the new lights. The brackets fit great.
I haven't used the mounting brackets yet but they were delivered very rapidly and appear to be well made.
Fits my needs and budget perfectly. Well packed and delivered promptly. Replacement brackets solves a problem that would have become much more difficult without. Very pleased overall.

Product does exactly what it was designed to do. Construction is of heavy gage steel and painted with black enamel paint to prevent rust. An all round great product for the modest price.
