Today we're taking a look at a bracket for Peterson Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Lights. This bracket is designed for mounting a trailer clearance and side marker light to the trailer, turns it into a surface mount installation. Two mount hole design, mounting hardware not included. It does have that nice open back design which allows room and access to the wiring. It's black in color, it's made from a durable plastic.I want to go over a few measurements with you real quick, and then I'll show you how to install a light onto the bracket. Measuring edge to edge going in this direction it measures about four and one-eighth inches long.

Edge to edge going in this direction is about one and one-sixteenth to one and one-eighth inches wide. Then the height that it adds, we can take an overall height measurement to the clip, but the actual height or spacing that it adds between your mounting surface and the bottom of your light is basically measuring from the bottom of the bracket to where the light sits, which would be this lip right here, that first indention. That measurement is about three-eighths of an inch. The mount holes on the unit are separated on center by three inches.Here is a trailer clearance and side marker light. It has these tabs built in on the side of it, and they simply engage right here on the clips.
