Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Zinc Plated Locking T-Handle Latch. Now this is a zinc-plated locking latch. Uses a 2-point locking system and it has the recessed T-handle. It does include everything shown here on the table.

It includes the T-handle lock with the two keys, the two rods, and then the two rod guides. Now, I did want to zoom in just to show you. Right now, if you lift up the T-handle and you go to turn it, it is in the locked position. To unlock it, you just take one of your keys, insert it into the lock. And you just turn it 180 degrees, and you'll be able to see that it now operates to open or close.

And you can push it down, turn this back, take your key out, and you can see that it's back in the locked position. Now the length on these connecting rods, since they're 2-point locks, you have two rods here. Total length on these rods is 48 inches long. But that should do it for the review on the Zinc-Plated Locking T-Handle Latch.

I checked with my contact at Polar hardware and they wouldn't give me an exact wall thickness that the T-Handle Latch # PLR5710 is designed to fit. They instead told me that "it depends on the design of the wall," but also included a dimensional drawing for you to check out and compare to your setup.

I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Polar T-Handle Latch # PLR5710 that you referenced in your question. I measured a length on the included rods of right at 48 inches or 4 feet from end to end.

The T-Handle Latch - Zinc Plated # PLR5710 will allow you to cut the bars to your desired length. The bars will attach to the handle only one way so you will simply need to trim the opposite end to length.
