The Duel cable with a black and white wires on the FJ Cruiser it takes about 14 ft to run through the frame on the driver side. I used a tape measure to fish the wire through the frame. The Prodigy P3 was easy to install and works very well

Great

by:

etrailer service is excellant. AA+++ As for the breaker, it works as advertised upon installation. Long term use, I have no idea

by:

Does exactly what it is supposed to do...protect the wiring under overload. So far, no issues after one year of being in the harsh conditions under my Jeep's hood.

by:

It's a circuit breaker!

We got
this wire our small teardrop for underway charging. I put it inline after the relay/solenoid, wired so we wouldn't exceed reasonable current flow in 10ga. wiring. I don't think it's ever tripped, except when I loaded it for testing.

Would use again.

Excellent quality and strength. Why skimp on something as important as your hitch? I have purchased three of these Draw Tites - I guess a repeat customer will scream about the true quality a company can garner from repeat customers. When you pull show cars worth six figures, you can't afford a poorly made hitch.
Step up, step out, and don't fret what you are pulling.

by:

Circuit breaker seems to be working as intended. Ni issues so far at 1 year+

by:

I had a couple of corroded breakers on my 12 year old travel trailer that caused a lack of 12v power from the house battery to the 12v system components. The replacements solved the problem. I have purchased from etrailer before and I've always been completely satisfied with the products.

by:

The equipment arrived complete and in good shape. However the most impressive thing about this, and earlier orders with etrailer was the customer service. When they saw one of the items was delayed they reached out to offer an alternative. They also kept me well informed of progress and when it was shipped/delivered. The videos on their products including installation are also very detailed and helpful. Great place to do business with.

by:

Cheaply made. Product gets a 3 star. Shipping gets a zero star. Your warehouse picked a product that had the all important bracket broken off. It was not in the box so the extreme volume and lack of packers delayed my installation. Thank you for shipping correct item 2 weeks late. This is becoming a regular policy.

by:

Perfect connector for what I was looking for on my 2019 RAV4. I originally installed it with the L bracket, but later changed it to be flush in the bumper. Looks very clean. The prefab pigtail made install into the car very easy as well.

by:

I should have ordered the in-line breaker without mounting bracket......discovered it, but you were so fast the parts had been shipped..... I removed the bracket and installed it my Jeepster. It does the job.

by:

This product. Is. A great one its going to be used to conect my brake controller to. My 99 Chevy Tahoe I. Got. Both the 20 amp and the. 30 amp . Hopfuly I. Won't need. the 40amp . thanks so much for a. Wonderful produce

by:

Works perfect on my travel trailer, in between my converter and my auxiliary battery. So cheap, that I bought 2 so as to have a spare...why not? Processing and shipping was super fast, I ordered on Wednesday afternoon and had it Saturday. It was awesome to see the video provided by eTrailer, as it helped convince me that this was the exact part I needed. I'll be shopping here again!

by:

Exactly what I needed to add a brake controller to my RV. Thanks for the support.

by:

I install them in line and one more time the tutorial video was the best tool in my tool box. even wen I got a HVAC back ground the video was my best tool. Thank you.

by:

They had to send this to me extra because it was missing from the ETBC7L kit that I purchased. It was inconvenient that it was missing but customer service and getting the replacement was easy and expedient.

by:

I ordered this controller and additional parts from Laser. Before committing to buying, I asked him many questions. He answered them all in about a clear and concise way as possible while presenting a picture of how to install the device. It arrived today and I haven't started, but he also emphasized that I could call if I ran into any difficulties. I'll follow up when the job is complete. My experience in this context could not have been better.

by:

Everything was as advertised, and thank you Kaylyn R for your wonderful customer service. It took awhile to get everything installed, because of crazy events in the past year, but it all works great!

by:

Fast shipping and arrived on time. Breaker has plastic case not metal but should not affect its function. Bolted on in place of original and should work as original. Pleased with purchase.

by:

I am very pleased with your products. The installation went very well and your video sure made it look easy. I have already told my friends about your products.

by:

very fast delivery, sales person was very helpful, easy installation, will do biss again, thank you e trailer.

by:

The right part, manufacturer, shipped and received as promised. etrailer reliable as usual. Thank you!

by:

  • Do I Need To Add Blue Wire To Install Brake Controller on 2008 GMC Savana Van w/ Existing 7-way
If your 2008 GMC Savana Van has the factory 7-way tow package, the blue wire should already be run. The wire should be under the dash near the emergency brake pedal. The wire may be tucked up and out of the way, or behind some other wire. You will connect the blue wire from the back of the brake controller to the existing blue wire which will supply power to the brakes on your trailer. Black is 12-volt power and should be connected to the positive battery terminal via 30-amp circuit breaker,...

  • Installing Brake Controller and 7-way Trailer Connector on 1991 GMC 1500
From your question, it sounds like there is two wires on the brake controller, plus a few on the 7-way trailer connector you are not sure about, is that correct? Take a look at our 4-pole to 7-way adapter, part # 37185. In addition to the lighting circuits, there are four additional wires. The white wire attaches to clean metal on the vehicle frame to provide a ground connection. The purple (or sometimes yellow) wire typically powers the reverse lights on the trailer (if it is so equipped)....

  • Installing a Tekonsha P2 Electric Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 on a 2004 Hummer H1
To install the Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller # 90885, in your 2004 Hummer H1, you will need to do a little hardwiring, but since you already have a functioning 7-Way trailer connector, there will not be too much work involved to get it installed and ready to tow. First, you will need enough wire # 10-1-1 to reach from the 7-Way trailer connector at the back of the H1 to the cab of the vehicle where you plan to mount the brake controller. This wire is sold in 1-foot increments. I recommend...

  • Ford Super Duty Trailer Connector Wont Power On In-Bed Fuel Transfer Pump
I do have an option for you but it's probably not what you'd had hoped for. The issue you'll run into trying to use the trailer connector as a power source for your transfer tank pump is that the battery charge line circuit within the trailer connector that you want to use for power is only active while moving on most newer Ford trucks. This is by design and has been coined the "Ford Smart Tow". Therefore, you won't be able to utilize this with the transfer pump in the way you want. If...

  • Should Trailer Circuit Breakers be Protected from Weather
I wouldn't recommend leaving any electrical connection, including the ones made on a circuit breaker like part # 38630 exposed directly to the weather. Exposure to water could cause the circuit to short out. A junction box like part # 38656 provides a excellent weatherproof place for electrical connections like joining a trailer connector such as # H20046 to the lighting and brake circuits of a trailer, but it would also work extremely well for protecting circuit breakers from the elements. • Installation Of Tekonsha P3 On 2007 Honda Pilot With Factory Tow Package
To install a brake controller like part # 90195 to your Honda Pilot the plug-in adapter like part # 3070-P is used for Hondas with a factory 7-way installed. You would simply plug the # 3070-P into the port located under the dash and the other end would plug into the back of the P3 brake controller. If you do not, then you will need to install the brake controller using different components. Since you have a 4-way connector at the back of your Pilot I recommend part # ETBC7. This plugs...

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. The Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 can be absolutely be used with your Harley pulling a small trailer for your pups (and in the process making your wife happy). Normally with a motorcycle you want to use a time-delayed controller but since the Spectrum's main unit can be mounted at any angle, this is one of the proportional controllers that can be used so long as you can find a good mounting point for both the main unit and the control knob. • Brake Controller on 2000 Ford F250 Not Receiving Power
Are you using a Wiring Adapter, such as our part number3035-P, or is the controller hardwired into the vehicle? I would begin by using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to check the black wire at the rear of the controller to make sure there is voltage reaching the controller. If not, the fuses that manage your towing circuits are not in the main fuse box, they are located in the engine compartment. Your owner's manual should mention the specific fuse to check. • Brake Controller Installation on 2004 Honda CRV
Honda does not pre-wire the CRV for a brake controller installation, so you will have to run a length of 10-gauge wire from the passenger compartment, through the firewall and engine compartment and under the vehicle to connect to the 7-pole connector at the rear. The brake controller output wire would connect to the # 2 pin on the trailer connector, which is sometimes labeled BLUE. • Brake Controller on 2001 Ford F350 Not Getting Power
That lead is fused. Take a look in the power distribution box under the hood. There should be two blue maxi fuses that protect the power supply for the brake controller, and the 12-Volt accessory circuit to the trailer connector. Your owners manual should be able to provide the specific fuse location. If the fuse is missing or blown, install or replace it. If you should decide that you wish to wire the controller directly to 12-Volt power, I would recommend running a circuit directly...
