Overall, the unit works well. The included DC fuse board had fewer slots than the original board with the trailer and did not appear to be as robust. As a result, I left the original fuse board in place. The charger works very well to charge my lithium batteries. The fans are considerably quieter on this charge converter than the originally unit. I am pleased with how it has performed so far.
Even though the directions included with the Power Distribution Panel were for earlier versions of the one I was replacing, the directions were adequate to guide the installation. The Power Distribution Panel is working. I especially like the fact that there is a system test capability unlike the one being replaced.

I installed the new distribution panel keeping the old DC board as it was not damaged. Took 1 1/2hrs. Very easy instructions.
Replaced the inverter in my 2004 keystone cougar. The wiring was a little different in my last one but everything worked out after some googling. Soon as everything was hooked up worked as intended. Only thing is the instructions are pretty vague and the photos are not clear and are in black and white. If the photos were in color and larger that would help a bunch. But all in all it works. Swap time was approximately 2 hours. I’m a novice at wiring, I can do it but don’t like it.
We purchased this for the purpose of converting to lithium batteries. Although the converter will take the batteries to 14.4 volts, it does not drop to the recommended float voltage of 13.6. When we called Progressive their tech support advised that we should disconnect the battery from the converter after the battery reaches full charge to avoid damaging the battery. This is not a multi stage charger for lithium.
It is however, a drop in replacement that was "easy" to install.
not that bad to put in read dir. once had my old unit out and left old wiring in place it does seam to be working it did arrive couple days after what had been posted but no big deal was helping harvest wheat
Everything worked great to replace the old Parallax converter in my 2003 Airstream. This new converter had very thorough step by step instructions. etrailer had a very good price and free shipping.
Easy to install, charges lifepo batteries as advertised
As far as the product goes, everything I have read indicates this converter will be superior to the original. Unfortunately I made the mistake of using your advertised free shipping. To make matter's worse, I called etrailer 3 different times concerning the delay in shipping and got virtually the same response that all 3 times that etrailer is aware of shipping problems with USPS. So my comment is that I will be looking elsewhere first with future purchases.
This converter solved the problem of overcharged batteries as it goes into maintenance mode once the batteries reach full charge. Only issue I had was that the holes in the frame did not match the holes in the enclosure. Otherwise a perfect fit with very clear instructions.
Exactly what I needed - installation reasonably straightforward and it works great with my new lithium batteries!
