Video Transcript for Review of Rear View Safety Inc Backup Cameras and Alarms - RVS-771

Today, we're going to take a look at the rear view safety 130 degree backup camera with the night vision. Now this part will include everything I laid out here on the table. It comes with the camera, comes with the 16 foot extension cable, the RCA adapter to connect to your external display, this female power cable for RCA adapters, and the installation hardware. Now this is a color CCD camera, it's built with heavy duty zinc metal, which encases the 410,000 pixels in the 2.1 millimeter sharp lens. It does have a viewing angle of 130 degrees, 620 TV lines, which means you'll get best quality image with no blind spots. It also offers a built in microphone, which will let you hear what is behind you. And they do offer the 18 infrared lights on it, this will allow you to see up to 50 feet even in the darkest night.

And they do put foam around the lens to help guarantee no glare from these infrared lights. It does have an IP69K rating, which will mean it will withstand all types of weather conditions. And it does boasts a 20G vibration rating and 100G shock rating, as well as uses these aircraft grade cable connections. But that should do it for the review on this rear view safety 130 degree backup camera with the night vision.

This is the perfect replacement. The plug and play unit was very easy to install.

Great. This is a oerfect replacement part

Camera is still working well. Extremely clear and works as it should

The camera has excellent clarity and resolution I hung it on the back of my travel trailer and hooked it to my AV radio in the cab of my truck to really beautiful picture and no leaks and no problems

Except that the LEDs tend to reflect back into the lens a little bit and burn out the image on rare occasions one of these days I'm going to pop it open and block the LEDs because at night anything I care about has headlights on anyway
So one year later still functioning perfectly and I'm very happy with it

good product

  • Length of Cable for the Rear View Safety Backup Camera
There is a roll of cable in the product pictures for the Rear View Safety Backup Camera - Weatherproof - Night Vision - RCA Connectors item # RVS-771. This cable is in fact 16 feet long. You should have no problem having enough length to use this on the back of your 2022 GMC Sierra.

  • Does Rear View Safety Backup Camera RVS-771 Operate on 12V Power
Yes, the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-771 is a 12V device that draws its operating power from the host vehicle. According to my contact at RVS the kit includes a 12V pigtail lead that gets wired to the vehicle battery (not shown in the photos) and into this the red 12V power plug will be installed.

  • Rear View Camera Recommendation for 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-771 that you referenced is a great solution for adding a back up camera to a vehicle that has a monitor setup already. The connections are standard RCA cables. Or for a kit that includes a monitor you'd want the part # RVS-770613-NM.

  • Rear View Safety Back-Up Camera Meant To Be Installed On the Back of a Motorhome
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-MV1 was designed more for vehicles like cars, not motorhomes. As such it is designed to be installed on and under-hang which orientates the camera differently than it would be on the back of a motorhome. There is not an "easy" fix/way to get the picture to flip. You best option would be to use a camera designed to be oriented in the way you are needing, like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-771. This camera can be mounted how you are needing...

  • Could Rear View Safety RV Camera System Display on Ram 3500 Monitor
As long as the display of your truck has RCA camera inputs you could use the # RVS-771 to connect to it and have it display there. For a 66 inch long extension you'd want the part # RVS-825N as well.

  • Rear View Camera Compatible with Factory Dash Monitor on a 2015 Ford F-350
As long as the dash monitor on your 2015 Ford F-350 has ports for a set of RCA cables or one round 5 pin connector (see photo) to plug into, then the Rear View Safety Backup Camera part # RVS-771 will work with your factory dash monitor. If your dash monitor does not have RCA slots or a round pin port then the only other option we have for you would indeed be to install a monitor system and for that I recommend the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System part # RVS-770613-NM. I have attached...

  • Determining If Trailer Suspension Is Correct Since It Has 28-3/4" Hanger Spacing Instead Of 29-1/2"
Thanks for the measurements! You are correct that the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double Eye Springs - 3-1/4" Tall Front/Center/Rear # APT5 you were looking at is designed around 29-1/2" hanger spacing but your suspension is a bit different in a few key ways. The # APT5 uses 25-1/8" long springs and a 7-3/4" long equalizer, where your suspension uses a 26-1/2" spring and a 5-1/2" long equalizer. With these difference it is very possible your suspension is setup correct, as hanger...

  • Which Cameras Can Be Used with RVS-6033 Monitor
I have a solution for you, but there is not a 13-pin camera for the # RVS-6033; that RVS monitor is designed to be used with the included adapter wiring that plugs into the 13-pin monitor plug and has additional wiring for 3 cameras and the power for the monitor. This adapter plug is included with the # RVS-6033. You have 2 options to install depending on the way you want the camera to be mounted on the trailer. You can use a flush mounted camera with part # RVS-775L or camera with a bracket...

  • Availability of Camera Backup Kit Compatible with RCA Connectors
Although we do have camera kits that have RCA connectors, like Rear View Safety # RVS-771 and # RVS-778, unfortunately there are no adapters for the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 to work with RCA connectors. If you have a specific camera system you are trying to utilize just let me know what it is and I can check to see if we have something compatible.

We do have a system that will allow you to mount 4 cameras, 3 on your trailer and 1 on your 2016 Ram 2500, and see them through a rear view mirror monitor. The Rear View Safety Universal Backup Camera System # RVS-770619N has a 7" monitor that clips on to your existing mirror. It comes with a box that allows up to 3 camera inputs. The Replacement Camera # RVS-257CW is a replacement for the wireless camera setup part # RVS-155W. The wiring you see for the camera is for powering it. It would take a wireless receiver on the same frequency to pick up the signal. • Should RV Security Camera Have Power at All Times
A security camera system, as opposed to a backup camera like # RVS-771 that only operates when the vehicle is in reverse or an observation camera like # FOS05TASF that you can turn on when you want to, will need constant power to give you its security benefit. Many RVs like your triple-axle Cyclone are now coming pre-wired for this important feature. It would be possible to place a switch in the camera power circuit but this would mean you run the risk of having the system off when you need it.
