Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the rear view safety side camera. This is going to be for the driver's side of your vehicle and allows you to have better field of view for changing lanes, backing up, turning around, anything like that, especially on your larger vehicles, like your RVs or larger work trucks, box vans, things like that.This is going to go in the driver's side and it has a little arrow pointing up to let you know which way it needs to go, but we'll have this bracket to attach if you want to have a little bit of adjustability as far as the angle so you can get it pointed more towards your back end of your vehicle or more pointed out, whatever you prefer there, or you can have a more flush mount..

It replaced the same aged model of the exact same manufacture. The design allowed for eventual fogging of the lens. The replacement fit the exact same mounting holes but includes the same manufacturing potential defect but to date is fine. So much so I ordered and replaced the passenger side that had begun to become foggy.

fine no fogging as of yet. Very possibly due to the extra caulk I used on installation.
there is much more to the story of the side camera. bottom line is: it works great and etrailer was instrumental in getting me set up with all the things i needed. i never received any pushback from the many people there i had to deal with to get the system up and running. the entire system works wonderfully. thanks again etrailer. 8^)

i place the order and got the parts needed on the time i was told. there are so many places on the web that say, they have the parts in stock when they dont. this is not my first time ordering from etrailer. they are good at what they do. thank you. also wanted to mention, when it comes to returning a part that is wrong (not that they sent the wrong part) but happen to me once that we did a research for a part and looked up the part on etrailer and they had it, i placed the order, got the part and found out that we placed the worng part, they took care of it in a very profesional way. You mentioned that the lens on the camera eventually fogs. I reached out to the manufacturer and have a solution for you. They advised that if you leave the camera in a bowl of rice overnight to absorb the moisture and then use a silicone sealant to seal up any openings in the camera, it can save you from having to replace it.
