I bought the redarc controller for my 2023 Ranger from Ford but this adapter from etrailer. There is a bunch of video online for installing it and it went in without a hitch. Works great.
Saved about 200.00 using this with the Tow-Pro by RedArc over using this OEM trailer controller. Set ups easy (hardest part is removing the 12v battery supply), nothing a screwdriver and snips can't fix. Install took less then 30 minutes using the TPH - 022 harness for the Gladiator. Looks very professional.
One year, hasn't fallen out or gotten loose, so looks like a win. Plus, the placement of the trailer brake control knob in the location of the 12V port is just perfect. My hand naturally falls right there when I need to make an adjustment, and it's also out of the way so I don't touch it when I don't want to.
Does its job. Allows controller dial to be installed in a cigarette light/accessory port with no drilling

Still working great! Does its job: it holds the dial in its place in place of one of my 12v outlet holes that I wasnt using. Makes a clean install.
Exactly what I needed, fits 12v outlet hole perfectly when utilizing that space on a factory panel.
This item fit perfectly in what used to be a 12 V socket. Now my red arc trailer breaking is easily in reach.
This item was ordered and shipped through usps. The package arrived damaged and with a half bottle of shampoo, but no plug. A simple call and I was sent another through ups. I purchased this brake controller because it is the same controller Ford sells for the current Ranger. The instructions and videos from etrailer were super helpful. For someone that never had used a brake controller before this one is easy to use , and it works perfectly.
Good day after a couple tries the round mounting plate was my best option I was replacing the dash insert with the electronic OEM brake controller plate that I found out would not work because my truck didn't have the RCM program so I bought the radic brake controller I took apart the OEM brake controller to get a piece of the plastic to make a plate then I cut out the OEM Dash plate to accept the piece of plastic and then cut that out to accept the round mounting plate ran all the wires everything works I'm going to attach a couple pictures or a few pictures to show what I did there is no direct replacement mounting plate for the small storage box on the OEM plate that was in there or replacing the OEM electric brake module there was no plate to fill that in so I made one myself probably not the finest work because I am very seeing impaired but you'll see in the pictures this is what it looks like thanks again everybody at the trailer for all your help and Jamie and I will attach the pictures
I replaed one of the 12 volt power ports in my Ranger with a brake controler. This fit perfectly

It great in my ford ranger 12 volt plug and look like I came from the factory just like that.
Needed a trim piece for my '94 Dodge Ram 1500. I knew this wasn't an exact fit but with a little Dremel work and a hot glue gun I think it turned out looking pretty good. I replaced the lower cigarette lighter with the trailer brake controller switch.
I used this item in my 2021 Ford Ranger. It is easier to get to the controller nob. It is also easier to see.

I know the listing doesn't say anything about a 2021 ford ranger, but it fit just fine after I removed one of the two 12v sockets in the dashboard. Looks good and works great.
Looks stock in a Ford Ranger. Ford should use these if you buy the “factory” brake controller instead of the spot they install it above he hood release.

Product worked great for my 2020 Ranger. It mounted perfectly under the dash and put the controller in the spare 12V socket. Looks good.
Very easy installation and after very little trimming it went in my 12V socket. (Internals were disconnected and removed)

Replaced where the lighter out was
Makes it easy to replace the lighter socket in my Jeep Gladiator. I wished the letter was white so it matched the rest of the interior. Additional, it has a lip on the rear that makes it stuck off the dashboard a bit. I would recommend the unit.

Still going strong, still solidly mounted in the dash. I have hit the dial with my knee a couple times getting in or out since my previous review, but its really a non issue since I know what number I start with on the dial.
