Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the mounting panel for your Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller control knobs. This is part number 331-TPSI-007. This is going to mount onto your vehicle's dash. It's going to make it look a lot more like it came from the factory when you install your control knob from your Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller.
This will work with several different models of Toyota vehicles. You can find the list on the product page. The way this works, you'll take your button. You'll notice on the top, you've got a little extra knob there, that will fit into the knob on your mounting panel. So you just slide that in, make sure those are lined up, then you'll mount the rest of your hardware. Put that little washer there, then this nut.
You want to tighten that nut down to the specifications in the instruction manual. I'm not going to do that now just for the demonstration purposes. And then you can mount your dial. Once you have this installed, click it into place, and it's going to look a lot nicer than some of the other options you have on mounting your control knob. And it will still operate, allow you to have greater control on your braking system. Now, all these pieces are not included with your mounting panel.
They are included in the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer system so you should already have them. The panel itself comes by itself. That's going to complete our look at the mounting panel for your Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller control knob..

Mounting panel creates a factory look for your Toyota's dash when you install the control knob from your Tow-Pro Elite or Liberty brake controller.2015 Tacoma - Install of Redarc Tow Pro Elite - Mounting Panel fit perfectly in an unused slot on the left side of the steering wheel. Finished product looks like a factory install. One note, the rounded face does not let you use the marker bezel that goes behind the nut on the Tow Pro controller - not enough room to allow depressing the knob/button. I don't find this to be an issue since the LED is at the top and illuminates the number on the dial.
Glad this product is available for the Redarc Tow-Pro for my 2020 Tundra. When installed it will look as if it came from the factory using the blank provided by toyota. Wish information for this product was included in the information for the brake controller. It would have save a week. Good thing I was not in a hurry for the completed installation. Pleasure using etrailer web site and service. Very effecient.
I ordered this setup for my 21 Tacoma with the tow package. The harness mated perfectly with the Toyota receptacle under the left front kick panel, the mounting panel looks factory and fit in the dash on the left side of the steering wheel, and the module is mounted to the inside of the kick panel. It is a tight fit, but I was able to get it all in there. I have not had a chance to use it yet. That will be in a month from now.
I bought this along with the Redarc brake controller so it would fit into one of the black spaces i had available because the one that comes with the controller was too small. Fit was perfect. Love the trailer brake controller because it’s just a small knob rather than a big box that I can hit my knee on.
This insert is not exactly identical to the factory switches. It's a little darker in color, a little more glossy, and a little more narrow. However, fitment is still good, and now that I'm looking at it again for this review, the differences hardly seem noticeable. When it clicks into place, it stays there nice and snug. There's basically no risk of it accidentally popping out, like what you get with cheaper, more poorly made switch inserts. I would definitely recommend getting this for your Tow Pro if you drive a late 2000s/early 2010s Toyota!
This switch plate was just what I needed for my 2022 Tacoma. It made the install of the Liberty brake controller a snap. (No pun intended)
Works great with Redarc brake controller. Looks factory.
Quality part, perfect fit. While I didn't use this for the trailer break knob as intended, with some minimal modification I was able to install a momentary switch to disable traction control in my 07 4runner with a completely factory look. Did not come with the dial graphic as shown which I actually preferred anyway.
Fit perfect in my 2019 Tacoma. All you need is a trim removal tool to pop out the tray and switch panel no screws and no need to try to remove the dash.
Looks and works perfect on my 2021 Tacoma along with the Redarc Tow-Pro break controller Popped factory piece out and this one popped right in
Perfect fit on 2007 4Runner console
Purchased this to mount the Redarc Tow-Pro controller knob in my 2006 Tundra. It fit great, replacing one of the console blanks.
Best aftermarket brake controller on the market in my opinion. I used one of the blank knock-out switches in my 2020 Toyota Tacoma for a factory-esque installation.
I haven't towed with the trailer brakes just yet but diagnistics indicate that once connected to the Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness (Item #331-TPH-017) and the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter (Item #3062-P) that I ordered with it all is setup for my 2022 Subaru Ascent with a factory tow package. The cleanest install for the switch on this vehicle is to remove and modify a blank switch insert to the left of the steering wheel (I had 2 left) and drill a 25/32 hole in the switch insert after hollowing it out, remove the switch module from the included mounting panel/housing and then use the clear nut to secure the switch module to the insert and voila, you're done. NOT the easiest thing to do, but not that hard either if you are handy with a dremel and a drill. Picture of final install included.
Thank you for the quick delivery. I look forward to installing the equipment you helped me properly select for my truck.
Love it! Makes my Redarc Towpro Elite look like an OEM install.
Looks great and as oem as possible on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma
Fits well and looks factory. No wobble. I'm happy with the product
Great product for towing a trailer. I buy a lot of parts from etrailer and they are always good quality parts. I would highly recommend etrailer to any and all who pull a trailer of some type.
Ordered the wrong one by mistake, etrailer.com emailed to check in after the order, explained my issue and they sent me the correct one within a few days. Best customer service i’v seen in a long time.
Panel fit great on my 2012 Tacoma TRD Sport. Recognize that this panel will fit on the left side (the slots near the mirror control), while this panel fits the slots under the radio/above the cup holder. I accidentally ordered the wrong one, but etrailer is great with quick shipping, and I'm sure if I would have asked someone when I put the order together, they could have pointed me to the correct part.
Maintained the factory look I was going for when installing the Red Arc Liberty brake controller in my 2015 Tacoma. Great fit.
This thing was so easy to install, I am an overthinker and a perfectionist so 45 mins start to finish was way to long. I did enjoy installing it also, great product and fast service!
Connector fit correctly and works as this is the correct Panel Mount for the 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Fits and looks great. Working with the staff at REDARC has been a pleasure and I’ll shop them in the future for any needs. should.
