Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 12 inch long parallel cable, for the Redarc portable solar panels. Now this cable, with the Anderson connectors on all both ends, connects your two Redarc portable solar panels together, in parallel, and increases your total output current or amperage. Connecting two identical panels of the same wattage and parallel, will multiply the total output current or amperage by two, and change the system voltage at the same level. And this cable does use the Anderson connectors, which provide a nice easy plug and play set up. The Anderson connectors are common connections in RVs, and Redarc uses industry standard Anderson SB 50 connectors across the solar range.
These high quality Anderson plugs are simple, fast to connect, has no screw terminals and no risk of any poor connections from frayed wires or loose terminals. So for most part, there's no tools required to connect your solar products together. You just plug and play. Length on this one is 12 inches. The wire size used in this is 11 gauge size wire.
It is a 40 amp current rating, and a 50 volt BC max voltage rating. But that should do it for the review on the 12 inch long parallel cable, for the Redarc portable solar panels..
