Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, I'm going to take a look at this replacement control knob for the Redarc Tow-pro Elite electric brake controller. Now, this is a replacement remote head for the Tow-pro Elite brake controller, part number RED44FR. We do sell that brake controller separately on our website. This is designed to be mounted at a distance from the main unit of the brake controller, and because of the small design of this remote head it'll keep it from interfering with lower leg air bags, or driver leg room when you try to install it inside your vehicle. It does include the remote head itself, the bezel, and the remote head nut.

This replacement remote head for the Tow-Pro Elite brake controller is designed to be mounted at a distance from the main unit, on or around the vehicle dashboard.
This brake controller worked well in our 2020 Suburu Ascent. Modified the blank switch plug under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. This took a little time to ream out with a dremel type tool, but the controller know fit in and worked well (youtube videos can be found for this).
Delivery was very good. However I was very disappointed once I completed the Redarc install only to find out the knob was bad. I called customer service and talked with Toni Lynn, explained my situation and was told she would get one out to me right away on a emergency status. I hope that this happens and I have it by Monday 8/22/22. I’m supposed to pick up my new trailer on Tuesday 8/23 and could really use a function brake controller. My rating would be much higher if it weren’t for this issue. Hopefully This will get resolved as told, if so my rating will definitely be higher.
