Today we're going to take a look at the Reese 10-Bolt Design Universal Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches. Now, these universal brackets will fit most applications. The adapter brackets can be used to ease installation on certain vehicles. These are designed to work with base rails, part number RP58058 that we do sell separately on our website. The base rails is what will sit in the truck bed and provide the necessary attaching points for the 5th wheel trailer hitch. This kit with the adapter brackets and the hardware will attach the base rails to the frame of the vehicle. They are finished with a sturdy black powder coat steel, which will help resist corrosion.

I was moving my 5th wheel hitch from a 2005 Dodge to 2015 Ford. The rail mounting kit for the Ford was complete and installation went smoothly. The kit could use a couple more spacers but it was not a problem as I reused spacers from the Dodge.
I purchased the Reese Universal Installation kit for installing a pickup bed hitch for a 5th wheel camper. The installation went well and I found that I was thankful for the various extra pieces that were provided to allow options for different ways to do the installation. The quality and strength were very good. I'm happy to have purchased this kit.

E-trailer deserves 5 Stars for service, follow up and delivery. Thanks for the great service. As for the installation kit.. Bolts and nuts, fine, but the layout and brackets did not work with my vehicle, a 91 Chevy long-bed Silverado. I follow the instructions for locating the back rail, 30 & 15/16" per instructions. Located the brackets over the sloted 5/8" holes provided in the frame but had to turn the inward to match second holes in rails, could not make them work otherwise. Drilled the pilot holes for front thru front rail with hitch in place, missed front provided slots in frame with bracket by 2". No way in or out, forward or backward to make it work. Planning to have all brackets welded as drilling will not work due to lines ect. Basically the brackets don't work without welding.
This kit works well for transfering existing hitch and rails to new/used vehicle.

Great, Ill be buying another one within a year for a newer truck.
Typed into Google the parts I needed to install our 5th wheel hitch...
First up was etrailer...They had the exact part shown in the installation manual for our brand and they shipped out the next day...Wonderful to have a company that has all the parts you need for anything!
Everything was fine, ended up selling Trailer, fifth wheel and Kit shortly after I ordered it. I was very happy with the product, the communication and the receiving from your company. I will be ordering from you again in the near future.
The universal 5th wheel mount brackets worked flawlessly on my 1995 Chevy.
Very easy install.
I had zero experience with this type of install, or fifth wheels in general. I was able to mount my used fifth wheel using this mounting kit on my 97 f250 ccsb, alone in about three hours, without any help or problems.
Purchased the kit for install on my 1986 Ford F-250.
Installer tells me that all included items (hardware, instructions) were as they should be.
Only hiccup was that the FORWARD brackets had to be welded vice bolted, due to the location of the rear uppoer shock tower on the truck. Took him some time, but job looks good, and we'll be testing it today on an hour-long drive to our new spot for the next several months. After that, who knows where life might take us!! Looking forward to seeing some of the Southeast, minimum, taking home right along with us.

This kit was complete with all the parts you needed.
I inturn welded the "L" brackets to the frame, with no problems.

Very fast shipping. The included instructions could have been more user friendly but the videos on the site were excellent. Be sure to look up the videos before you do your install to catch some helpful pointers.

I traded in a 2011 dodge ram 2500 6.4 box for a 2014 dodge ram 2500 6.4 box and I have a reese proline 15k hitch. is there any universal brackets to connect my old rails to my new truck? thank you very much
