Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Reese universal mounting bracket set. This set is going to feature these brackets that provide the attachment point for your Reese 10 bolt base rails, which sit in the truck bed and provide the necessary attachment points for your fifth wheel trailer hitch. Those are sold separately. You can see the part number on the screen there. So if you don't already have those you can pick those up [email protected].
But these universal brackets are gonna fit most trucks. Now, I will say typically, universal is gonna be a little bit harder to get installed. So if you're able to, I would highly recommend finding a custom fit installation kit for your vehicle. That's gonna make sure that all the holes line up and everything. It's gonna be much easier for you.
But we do have brackets available that will adapt, these mounting brackets to make installation a little bit easier for you. If there's not already a custom fit for you, these are gonna be the universal fit so they will still work, it's just gonna be a little bit more involved installation for you. This set does not come with the mounting hardware that is needed to get these installed. If you don't already have the hardware, I highly recommend using the part number that you see on the screen there. That's going to include the mounting brackets that we have here, plus the hardware that you're gonna need.
But if you already have the hardware, you're just needing to replace a bracket or two, this is gonna be a direct replacement from Reese so it is gonna fit for you. It's got the two short L brackets and the two long L brackets. They do have the sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish to help resist corrosion. So they will hold up well for you and do a good job making sure that you've got a solid connection to your truck for your fifth wheel hitch. That completes our look for today.

I already had the reese 20K 5th wheel hitch but I sold the truck I had and didn't take the rails out before I sold it. With a quick phone call to etrailer.... they advised me of what I needed. So I ordered the parts from them and in a very timely manner I had my parts. I've referee etrailer to alot of my friends for all of their hitch needs. Just want to say " THANK YOU."!!!
brackets arrived early and in great shape, only thing I had to do was move the bed supports out of the way so I could drill the holes for my 1992 f350 and switch the short bracket to the front to clear the overload springs. great product, great price and great place to shop. very knowledgeable folks. dt
Good heavy duty brackets as per specs.
This was the only place I could find this item with out buying the 100.00 kit needed to mount my 5th wheel. A Great Price also.

Quality itself was good. Installed them on 2005 Chevy 2500hd using measurements from an identical truck with an existing hitch. Everything went smooth until I got to the driver side front bracket I had to make a hole slightly bigger. Nothing major. Made it work anyway
