Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Tie-Down Points. Now folks, these are made from a very nice and durable cast aluminum and they're rated at 132 pounds of strap force. Now they do lock quick and easy into your preferred position and they do lock using the new patented Zwifloc channel nuts that allow the tiedown points to be placed anywhere without moving your other accessories. So again, these work in the Pioneer Rhino-Rack, you can purchase that rack separately. Now zooming in here, the Zwifloc nut simply drops anywhere into that channel, so there's no need to slide.

When you put the bolt through there and tighten it, then this guy here actually spins as you're tightening it and that's what's holding it into place inside that slot on the rack itself. Now as far as installing these onto the actual tie-down point here, it's pretty simple. You got this guy here, you put this guy inside the channel, and then you would thread the nut down inside of there. And again, that would spin and that would lock it into place inside the rack once you got it all tightened up. So very simple installation, and also note that on the backside here, you've got slots in these tie-down points that would slide in that slot as well.

So I'll put this and the nut back. Again, nice heavy duty cast durable aluminum. Now as far as some dimensions on these guys, overall side to side, I was getting 4 and 1/4 inches long by about an inch and 1/8 wide at this widest point here in the center. Now if this was installed flush on that track, you can see that arch here. The, what I'm calling usable attachment arch area, is 2 and 3/8 inches across once you've got this installed and it's flat on that track, so that's where you could put that S hook in or whatever you're tying down as an attachment point.
