Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this axle mount kit for the Sprinter van 2500 models without the factory sway bars. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2008 to 2017 Dodge Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 vans and class C motor homes without the factory sway bar. And because this is a custom fit part, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application.
Now, this axle Mount kit is required if you're installing the part number R-M-12-09-128 rear anti-sway bar kit to these vehicles that I just mentioned. And the vehicle does not have the factory sway bar. This has to be used if your vehicle, the Sprinter 2500 van does not have the factory sway bar. This kit will include everything laid out here on the table. It includes the two end links with the polyurethane bushings.
The two split bushings. You can see right here with the bushing clamps. All the mounting bolts, washers, and nuts you need. They even give you a nice tub of bushing lubricant that you'll apply to these bushings when they're installed. And a nice set of detailed installation instructions that'll describe how this connects.

This product solved the problem that we were having getting the Roadmaster Sway Bar to fit. Even though the manufacturer's website said that if the coach came with a factory sway bar this kit wasn't needed - it was. Roadmaster said that the sway bar that was on the coach must not have been a "factory" sway bar, but it was a 2019 coach that had not been modified by the owner.
Either way, the kit made the sway bar fit and work.
etrailer did a great job in trying to support us every step along the way.
Unfortunately, Roadmaster took over 4 months to deliver the sway bar, then their phone system was out for days while we were trying to find out why it did not fit. Kind of like the perfect storm...

After about 9 months of use I had to remove the sway bar. The bushings provided by RoadMaster are not properly sized to fit the 10mm OEM bolts as the bushing ID is 11.7mm and standard SAE bolts do not fit either. This results in a tremendous amount of play and a serious thumping sound emanating from the sway bar. It also resulted in two of the bushings ending up out of round. RoadMaster’s response was thank you for letting us know and we’re sorry. No offer to fix, replace nor refund even a small portion of the purchase. Initially I was very happy with this sway bar as it made a tremendous difference in how the van drove. Unfortunately, RoadMaster’s response is very disappointing and I will never recommend them again. If I could edit my previous review and give zero stars I would gladly do it. Terrible support from RoadMaster.
