Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the replacement wiring harness for the breakaway switch of the Roadmaster Even Brake flat tow braking system. Now, this part here replaces the wiring harness for the breakaway switch on your Roadmaster Even Brake braking system. That system we do sell separately on our website, goes by part number of RM-9400. Basically this wiring harness here, you can see it has two plugs, one on each end. This will connect the breakaway switch to the ICX transmitter in your braking system.
Overall, a length on this harness is about 10-1/2 feet. But that should do it for the review on this replacement wiring harness for the breakaway switch on the Roadmaster Even Brake flat tow braking system.

Solid and reliable cord. Mounting the connectors was straight forward and not difficult.

My experience with etrailer was good from the perspective of the cooperation and pleasantness. However, even though I was clear on the tow bar I had (Blue Ox) and the vehicle I was towing (2005 Dodge Dakota) when the tow package came and the shop I had installing it got to the end of the installation, it was discovered that the wrong pins were sent, i.e. they wouldn't lock in place - too short . At first we couldn't determine what the problem was, so I called etrailer back. Was told those were the correct pins. Finally called Blue Ox directly and the rep immediately told me (after I gave him the PN) that those were the wrong pins. Without me asking he offered and did send two replacement pins free of charge. They worked perfectly.
This part was exactly what we needed. We had totaled our previous pickup and needed to purchase a few parts to fill in for parts we were not able to salvage when we readied our new truck for towing behind our RV. eTrailer had what we needed and shipped it quickly so we could get everything ready for our trip.
As always customer service is excellent and I received the part quickly.
Exactly what I needed to finish connecting the even brake system.
Does what it is intended to do. Took a little time to install but it came with all the instructions I required, and it all looks and works great!

Cheap but connectors, one was not even crimped wire was pulled out of connector.
