Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at this ball mount for your stealth hitches, the hidden receiver hitch. Now folks, this detachable ball mount's gonna let you hook up your trailer to that tow vehicle you have and the base is gonna simply pop into the center block on your stealth hitch's trailer hitch that you should already have installed. If not, you can purchase that here at etrailer.com as well. Now you will need a hitch ball, that's sold separately, and that will provide the last connection point you need for your trailer's ball coupler to hook up to. Now again, this is a custom fit application.
Go to our website, enter your year, make and model in our fit guide at the top center of the homepage. Make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now this does have a very nice, elegant black powder coat finish, as you can see, very reflective in the light, and it's gonna last for years and years and give you superior rust and corrosion protection. And again, it's a nice, hard and heavy duty steel. This is the locking lug that would pop up into your hidden hitch.
And a couple measurements here from side to side, the total length is 13 inches. While the center of the ball hole to the center of the locking pin here, the locking lug, is 10 inches. The ball hole is a one inch diameter hole. So when you purchase your ball, you gotta make sure you have a ball shank of one inch diameter. Now the thickness of this hole guy here is 3/4 of an inch thick.
So again, very heavy duty. You don't have to worry about it bending or breaking on you. Folks, it has an amazing limited lifetime warranty. And again, this is the ball mount for your stealth hitch, hidden receiver hitch. I'm Steven.

I would recommend this company and his brother to anyone
This hitch was a must have so that I could own a Porsche Turbo GT and still have a tow vehicle when needed on rare occasions. I made a replaceable cover between the exhaust pipes and hid the plug behind a hinged license plate. I then used stainless steel shackles to help facilitate connection of the safety chains. Had to remove bumper for install, but it was well worth it. Just keep the OEM bumper as it will be needed if you sell the vehicle to make it a certified pre-owned (CPO).
As I have indicated in a prior review, the whole thing is a big gimmick. Yes, the hitch is hidden, but that is really the only benefit. It's hard to use, comes with a mediocre wiring harness kit for the car, and overall you can get spare parts, but they cost time and money. The whole reason I needed to buy a second stealth hitch receiver is because I lost the first and it is totally proprietary. Overall, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Stick to the standard square mount receiver.
Solid. This paired with the Stealth Rack Receiver kit is a very nice setup.

I really like the way the stealth hitch is hidden when not in use on my Volvo XC90.
While i wont use it till next winter towing toys its great unique product. When I need it, I have it and when not towing which is 95% of time I wont break an ankle or fall over it.
