This is a rave-worthy upgrade for your RV. It extends out far enough for you to grab hold before taking the first step up, and it folds flat without obstructing your door or slide out. Can be set at a 45-degree angle to pair with steeper steps.
Features:
Specs:
This folding handrail comes in 2 sizes, the 42" handrail for 2-3 step entrances and the 50" handrail for 3-4 step entrances. If you have 2 or 4 steps, the choice is clear. If you have 3 steps, it may come down to how much clearance you have below the door.
The 50" handrail, when folded, extends almost 11" past the lower mounting bracket. That basically means your RV should have at least 11" of skirting, so when the handrail is in the folded position, it doesn't extend further than the skirting.
The area around your RV door is possibly going to have some obstructions around it, and you really should take a look and see if there's anything there that will cause problems.
The bottom bracket is 6" wide and must be attached to the RV's hardwood floorboard, which is roughly in line with the bottom of the door frame. If you have at least 6" between the door frame and any obstructions or a slide out, you should be good to go. Trim pieces can be cut and removed where there might be an issue, but be ready to properly seal them to keep moisture out.
When you take this out of the box, you'll see that there is a roll pin installed in the rail that will keep it set at a 38-degree angle. If you need it at a steeper, 45 degrees, the pin can be knocked out.

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Stromberg Carlson Lend-A-Hand RV handrail for triple and quad steps, and this one is 50 inches long. Now folks, this handrail does replace the stock grab handle to give you something that's easier to reach out and extend out from your RV and give you a 50-inch total rail length. It can be extended at 38 degrees or 45 degrees to work with your RV steps. Now it does fold up flat against your trailer and stays in place with a locking pin that comes included here.
(handrail taps and thuds) And once the locking pin's out, again, this would be flat against your RV or camper. Once that locking pin's out, you could then pivot the rail and use it like a handrail. Now I'm out of space here to show you this and it's not attached, so I'll fill an image up. You can see the user there's got their hand on the rail. Nice angle, easier to reach, feels more like the same size of what your handrails would inside of a house or, you know, those kind of things.
So very nice, big. I got big hands and then you can see I'm barely going around this whole rod here. So it's got slits in it, as you can kind of see. Our raised portions here that's gonna give you a better grip. Again, you get the included pin and clip to keep it in place secure whenever it's not used.
This side obviously would be screwed down during installation so it doesn't go anywhere. You got four short screws and eight long ones. That's for the installation. Just make sure you follow the instructions that come with it and you should be pretty good to go on the install. Now the nice thing with this is it's not gonna block your door whenever it's not in use.
So it's gonna stay in place against the side of the RV or camper, and it's a super easy install on the exterior with the included screws and the mounting brackets that are already installed on the railing. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at this 50-inch Stromberg Carlson Lend-A-Hand handrail for triple and quad steps. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
