Hand knobs (sold separately) required to secure plate to rack.I ordered the top plate and the two securing nuts. I had removed them and laid them on the truck’s bumper while I remived my bike from the rack. I forgot to reinstall them and lost them! I was afraid that I needed to purchase a new bike rack. Happily, I found etrailer and was able to easily order the parts. As it was Christmastime I didn’t expect to receive the parts so quickly but I got them in 8 days. The website was easy to use and I received email updates and a tracking number. Thanks!
Arrived very quickly probably 2 day before i thought it was to be delivered!
We had an issue with our mail carrier and never received our first delivery of this piece.. so i called etreiler and they were AMAZING! They sent me out another package with the same piece and I received It within days of our trip! Great customer service and the right piece that I needed for our bike rack.

I lost my original top plate and this was a replacement. It arrived without the vinyl “V” pads but a quick phone call got the pads on the way. I have tethered to the rack with a small cable so I won’t lose it again.

It has worked as advertised.....our bikes have stayed safely on the bike rack through many travels as well as any potential thefts
