Hey, there Swagman owners. Today, we're going to be taking a look at a replacement knob and bolt for the wheel cradles on your Swagman bike rack. As you can see here, I'm missing the knob on my bike rack. Today, I've got my XC bike rack, but this is going to also be an excellent replacement for your XTC, your XTC2, your XTC2 Tilt, XTC Quad, even your G2 bike racks.When you assembled your bike rack, you probably noticed that the knobs we're completely removable, which makes them unfortunately, losable. If you've lost your knob, you can still position your wheel cradles, but you can't secure them in place, and therefore you can't properly secure your bike. That can be a real bummer, but don't get a new bike rack.
Just get a new bolt and knob.It comes with two different size bolts depending on your bike rack. The larger one is your XC series bike racks. The smaller one is for the rest, and it's literally just a direct replacement. Once you get it in place, you can tighten it down, and that's going to take your cradle from movable to secure just by getting this tight to get you back on the road, so you can go out and enjoy the trails. Keep your bike rack in good working order.

I actually have a Leader Accessories platform-style hitch bike rack with the wide tire loops for my fat e-mtn bike. Two of the knobs to adjust the tire loops were stripped and riding season is not quite over, esp. w 4" tires :) I rec'd the parts in mail yesterday and replaced with these today. They work perfectly! Packing was great as well, safely in a padded envelope, and without so much as a scratch (I wouldn't have minded).

Can you tell me if this is a 516 bolt? I have a nashbar shadow2 hitch rack and the knob fell off somewhere. Im trying to replace it. If this knob will fit on a 5/16 bolt, this would be a perfect replacement. Thank you.
The part was the perfect replacement for the OEM which had a damaged turnbuckle due to normal wear and tear. As always, you guys carry and quickly ship many, many parts and accessories.
Easy transaction. Went to install the part on my bike rack & realized that another part was missing from my rack due to not having the screw in. So I'll be ordering more parts from Etrailer.
These folks were very responsive and helpful. And I was able to find exactly what I needed. Highly recommend.

Still happy with the purchase after one year!
I have an old Q-Slot bike carrier in which the fasteners all broke so I tried these to replace the fasteners and they fit and work perfectly. No need to buy a new carrier at all.

Not much to say - glad etrailer had these replacement knobs - hardware stores don't carry them. Perfect replacement and reasonably priced.
This 4-pronged bolt thing is far better than the original 3-pronged for 2 reasons. First, the threaded metal insert is recessed into the black plastic allowing for a tighter grip on the bolt (the metal insert for the original design is flush and, it appears that, the screw runs out of threaded sleave before the hoop is completely tightened. Second, the 4-prong fits the hand more naturally. I reused the original flat washer. As an aside, you might be able to snug the original design enough by using 2 or more flat washers so that there are more threads to work with (same effect of recessing the metal sleave).
Took several MONTHS before I received my package. Shouldn’t have to take that long in todays day and age. However, the support staff was good to keep me updated on my order.
