Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the weld-on safety chain U-loop for your trailer hitch. This will weld on to your trailer hitch or any of your hitch-mounted accessories to create a nice anchor point to secure your safety cables too. Obviously, safety cables are an important part of towing, so having a nice sturdy point to attach those chains to is going to be important. This does have a nice steel construction.

So not only is it going to be very durable and resist rust and corrosion, but it's also going to be very sturdy once you get it welded on and holding everything in place.Our overall dimensions, we're looking at right about three inches, and total length, right at two inches, maybe two and an eighth of an inch. In width or diameter of the steel there is right about five sixteenths of an inch.
