Today we will be taking a look at the Replacement Hardware Kit for the Thule Ladder Rack SR Ladder Rack Base Rails. Now this is the hardware kit for the long bed trucks. That's going to work for GMC and Chevy trucks. We'll have our four rubber blocks to fit in the stake pockets and then two aluminum clamps that would attach to that long bolt hardware that goes down through the base rail and then would attach onto this. And then this is actually the clamp that goes for the rear. So we'll get our bolt and washer and once that bracket is attached to the long bolt that comes with the rest of your Base Rail kit.
This actually fits into a pre-existing hole on the Chevy and GMC trucks and gives you the leverage you need to keep everything nice and tight and secure.This is a direct replacement from Thule for that hardware. The small bolts have some lock tite on there to help them stay in place and not back out over time. And then of course we'll also get our rubber strips to make sure that we have protection between our ladder rack and the vehicle. There are going to be three small strips and those are bunched together there. And there's four of those.
There is a total 12 of these smaller pieces that will look like this. Each of those pieces measures 12 inches long and it is about 3/4 of an inch wide.And again, we will get 12 of those. Our rubber blocks measure about 2-1/8 wide by about 1-7/8 tall and about 1-1/4 deep. These aluminum brackets measure about 2-3/16 by 1-5/8. And then to that tallest point it's about an inch.So this kit is going to help you to replace that hardware if yours happens to get misplaced somewhere or if you're trying to make an older kit work for your newer truck, you want to refer to some of the information we have here at etrailer.com.

I wish the ad description had mentioned that it was a COMPLETE hardware kit so that I didn't order extra pocket nuts directly from THULE, that ended up coming in this kit as well as evey nut and bolt required to install the base rails.
