Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam with etrailer. Today we have a Thule T2 platform style bike rack and what we're going to be going over is some replacement parts. One being the wheel cradle right here, whether it's just looking a little ratty or the ratcheting strap isn't really doing what it's supposed to do, or even if the strap here maybe might have broken. We actually do have replacement parts for this and it's extremely easy to replace these. So that's what we're going to go over in the video and show you guys how.So depending on what's easiest for you, we can either remove it like this, or what I'm going to do is just remove it like this. There's only one little screw that we're going to have to get to.
We're going to have to get a hex bit to get that undone. And if you guys did keep the tool from when you assembled this the first time you got it, you can use that or whatever one is going to fit.All you really need to do is just loosen this guy up, and once we get this out we want to set it to the side just for later, because we will be putting it back. That's just going to hold that cap into place and then we can go ahead and work that cap out. And then pretty much, job's almost done. Slide this out, just like that.
Then we can go ahead and put our replacement back on. It's going to fit a little bit tighter than the old one and we want to make sure we mimic the exact orientation it was when we took it off, and that's pretty much it. Once we get that done, replace our cap, just like that, and then our screw just like that. And that's pretty much it.So this is going to be an exact replacement of the one that your bike rack came with originally, so if you need any more specs or anything like that on these, we do have a bunch of videos on our website. You guys can go ahead and check those out to learn a little bit more, but as you saw extremely easy.
So even if you do have a little bit of troubles with your bike racks, you can just come to etrailer, We'll show you guys how to fix it.

Works fine. I need to tape the strap back to get wheel on easily Otherwise the strap gets under wheel. My ebike is so heavy it’s difficult to lift wheel with one hand while using the other to pull out strap

True, this only fits TH9034, TH9035, and TH9036.
Product arrived quickly
Great prices and quick service despite it being in the middle of the Great Lockdown of 2020. I bought replacement parts to 'make my own' bike rack and saved about $400. The REAR WHEEL HOLDER ASSEMBLY is exactly what I needed for my Thule bicycle rack. The original holder had cracked and was problematic. I have ordered and received multiple different products from etrailer over the last several years and have NOT been disappointed with their product, price or delivery. I called etrailer support one time for clarification on a product and found them to be responsive, accurate and friendly. They HAVE earned my continuing patronage.
Easy to install. Matches the original part well. Just installed and functions as expected. Have not tested it for any length of time yet, but seems to be solid.

The rack is good but strap continues to be an issue
