This knob made our Thule bike rack usable again. It is the perfect replacement part. My Thule spare-tire bike rack had been stuck in the "up" position for some time after someone helped themselves to one of the knobs and I had to use a regular nut to hold it in place. Finally ordered a replacement from eTrailer and the rack is back to its old adjustable self. 854070

Have had my rack for many years.
Recently one of the knobs failed when the metal M8 nuts began to turn within the molded plastic knob during tightening. The only solution was to destroy the knob so the nut could still be tightened. There are numerous M8 knobs available online from various sources.

I was happy to find this exact replacement from etrailer with a reasonable price and perhaps more importantly, they offer low cost USPS shipping options!
