Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement lock housing for the Tooly snug tight hitch lock. This unit simply replaces the lock houser for the Tooly STL2 Snug tight hitch lock and anti rattle device. It's going to include the flip up cover and it's going to include the plug. These atoms are designed to keep dirt and grime out of the lock housing. The flip up cover snaps into place so you don't have to worry about losing that or that accidentally opening. That's nice design of the unit. It snaps into place and it does require a Tooly one key system lock which is going to be sold separately and that would insert and install in this area right here. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement lock housing for the Tooly snug tight hitch lock..

Lost key so ordered new lick and key set. Also ordered wxyra set of wheel straps. Everything works perfectly! Love the parts and bike rack. Plan to order other replacement parts soon, as backup.

The Thule bike rack from etrailer is excellent! And the customer service is too! Chelsey S. was my customer service person and she followed through and checked up all the way through. I had lost the lock off the rack but next day my husband found it in the street. Long story short had ordered it already and etrailer was wonderful taking the lock back. Did I say or if I haven't reviewed the bike rack yet I will - so easy to put on, take off myself, etc. Anyway from now on all my trailer stuff will be from this wonderful company.

Great service, prompt, easy, fast delivery, and the product itself (which was a replacement) is actually better than the part I was replacing. I have a Thule T2 classic 2" hitch rack, and the snug tight lock thing that locks the rack to the hitch so someone can't take the rack off your vehicle was lost, so I needed to replace it. I like this replacement better than the original - it feels more secure and stronger and sturdier. I will definitely return here for more trailer/rack needs in the future! thank you!

I lost the Thule Snug Tite lock for my hitch-mounted bike rack. Buying the cylinder that went with the key I already had, plus the housing and the universal change key, and I was all set again, for about half the price of buying the full lock from Thule! Works great!

The product is just as described (with the exception of the THULE branding on the cap. By purchasing this lock housing and the replacement threaded pin, I saved about $25 off the THULE lock set.
I have made several purchases from etrailer.com. They have always shipped very fast and have excellent customer service.

I had lost the original lock for my Thule hitch pin. I thought I would have or buy a whole new one. I called etrailer and talked to Tommy. He was able to set me up with this replacement lock. While we talked he also set me up with extra keyed alike cylinders so I can get all my Thule stuff on 1key. If you are having trouble don't hesitate to give them a call.

I needed to replace the lost hitch lock for my Thule rack. Every other source of this was charging about $51 for the whole assembly, which was far more than I needed. etrailer was the only place I found that sold just the lock body, and for one third the cost of the full assembly. It needs a lock cylinder to go with it, but I wanted a new one anyway to match my other Thule products.
Very happy with etrailer - they had a slight unplanned delay and made sure I was kept informed at every step and easily able to cancel if the delay was a problem (it wasn't)

Not much to say about it...chances are if you are buying one of these its because you somehow lost yours like I did. The cost was reasonable, EXCEPT for the fact you ALSO have to buy the lock core . Its still cheaper than the $90 pin and lock replacement combo, and much cheaper than losing a $400 bike rack...
Pro tip: buy the core that matches your key, otherwise you will have to buy a core AND a key.
Pro tip 2: Double check that its securely locked on the pin before you drive away :/

Our original lock fell off the hitch pin cause it wasn't locked in place (always check to be sure it's locked in place). Received my replacement lock cylinder and housing within a few days of ordering it - very quick service. The lock works great with my Thule keys and I am very happy with my purchase. Half the price of similar locks where you have to buy the replacement keys.

The one I received did not have Thule on the lock cover as shown in the photo. It is blank. Lock works just like the original one that came with the rack. As described, quick shipping, purchased for second Thule threaded pin and lock assembly to keep in second vehicle. Very happy with etrailer.com

I bought this product along with the bolt for my Thule bike carrier that I bought used and didn't include one. It has worked perfectly the last year, and if it isn't OEM, I cannot tell. It works exactly as expected, and so far, no one has stolen my Thule bike carrier. Highly recommend if you need a replacement.

Exactly what I needed to replace the one I lost because I didn't check that it latched properly onto the hitch security pin. The one I received was unbranded (no Thule logo on it) but works exactly the same as the original that I lost.

it is an excellent alternatives to thule hitch lock housing. it is almost half the price and work just the same. The only difference is that there is no "THULE" stamp on the lock.
