This is going to replace one hitch bolt that secures the shank of the Goalpost load bar or the hitch-mounted bike rack to your trailer hitch receiver. I received an email encouraging me to write a follow up review one year out from my purchase. Well, one year out, and I STILL have not received the item. Nor have I received a refund. eTrailer was more than happy to blame everything on USPS, even though USPS claims etrailer requested the package be returned to sender. So now I'm out the price of the item, the shipping cost, and the money I paid USPS to reroute the package (because eTrailer's "Return to Sender" request superseded my request to reroute). Next time, I order elsewhere.
Received today! Bit pricey but didn’t have to shop around and find out these are special bolts and I know it the right fit for my carrier. Had rack for many years and still is fine for two bikes and nice to know you have the correct replacement parts on hand!!! Thank You

Replaced my late 90's Jeep Cherokee Sport with a new Toyota 4Runner. The Toyota has a 2" receiver, so I needed a solution for my older Thule Hitching Post Pro 4-bike rack. Ideally, it would be nice to get this bolt about 3/4" longer, so it could go deeper (maybe all the way through) the 2" receiver and the adapter to the other side. But it worked good enough as-is. My old bolt was showing some age. Once I inserted the Thule adapter and the bike rack, I tightened it down and the rack did not jiggle around at all while driving. Problem solved!
I live in Upstate New York and owned a Thule bike rack for a long time...but during a recent move I lost the bolt holding the rack to the hitch. I tried to find a replacement at local hardware and bike stores, but no luck (and a few wasted $$$). Then, I saw the internet your internet site with the right bolt right there on the screen. I placed an order for two of them (to be safe....one long and the other short) and they arrived at my house forthwith in a couple of days. Happily both bolts fit perfectly. I had no intent of writing a review but Carol C. at etrailer wouldn't except my refusal so here is my not so positive review.
The bolts were overpriced comparatively. I would have purchased them direct from Thule but they were out of stock. If you have a local reliable nut and bolt/hardware store do yourself a favor and purchase them there. Just make sure you purchase the proper grade.
Bought a Thule 4 Bike rack carrier off of Marketplace. Was told everything was good and foolish of me I didn't double check. The bolt it came with was stripped slightly halfway and wasn't securing correctly. Bought this bolt here and man what a smooth fit. Glad it'll worked out and now feel better that it's more secure.
I went to three different stores including the two big box hardware stores to find the correct bolt to connect my Thule rack and it wasn’t until I decided to look on etrailer.com that I found the correct bolt…. Now I can haul four bikes instead of just two!

The original bolt that came with my Thule Roadway bike rack broke off- originally I thought it had backed out and fell off. Fortunately both sides of the receiver are threaded.
