Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the tent and LED strip mounting rail for the Thule Hideaway Awnings. Now this is going to be the railing that you need to attach that tent to your awning. That's going to be the Quick Fit Tent from Thule, and it's just kind of a little tent that comes out from your awning and provides you with either that sort of living space or play space outside of your vehicle to give you a little bit of extra room when you're out at the campsite.So in order to get that attached to our awning, we'll need to have this railing in place. The other nice thing about this is that we can also attach the optional Thule LED strip, which would go along this kind of larger flat piece here, and it's just an adhesive strip that just pushes down onto our aluminum rail.

There are three segments to this, so if you kind of can match it up with the different size of your Thule Hideaway Awning, it does come in two different sizes. The part numbers for those are six or excuse me, T-H, six, two, zero, zero, zero, one, and T-H, six, two, zero, zero, zero, two. So whichever one you have, you'll be able to get that matched up with these.It does come with the hardware to get this installed. It's pretty straight forward. Basically you're just going to slide this kind of little flat piece onto your awning, get that a little closer.

It's like 3D video. So this little, sort of, T-shaped portion is what actually slides into your awning. There should be a little channel that that can slide into, and then this larger sort of C-shape is where you slide in your tent. So that'll slide along the rail and attach in there. As I mentioned, this flat portion is where you attach that LED strip so it can point down towards the ground or in towards your camper or your sprinter van, wherever you have the awning mounted.Now that LED strip, the awnings, and the tents are all available here at etrailer.com if you want to pick those up to go with this, which you probably will.

And it comes with the hardware, as I mentioned. So there's going to be a clip on either side or a little plastic piece on either end. And these do have a certain direction or certain end they need to go on to. So if you're like, "Why isn't this fitting on there" It might be because it goes on the other side. So you just need to make sure that you grab the right one to match up with the end that you're trying to work with.

And then the shorter, or excuse me, the longer screws with the Phillips head or that plus head are going to attach that little plastic piece to the awning in this little circular channel. And then the shorter screw, or the star bit screw, are going to attach the whole rail to your awning itself.So the other piece that comes with this, the other hardware's going to be this little roll clip and that goes into the channel, that little round channel and that attaches these together, so that they stay together as you slide it in place. So it's not too hard. All of this is laid out in the instructions or those picture instructions. So it makes it pretty simple to get this installed. If you find that you have a little bit too much length, you can always cut one of these rails with a hacksaw to get it to where you need it to be. Different applications will need different lengths. So again you can refer to the included instructions on how to do all of that.They are made of an extruded aluminum so you don't have to worry about any kind of rust or corrosion with these. They have that nice black finish so they should be pretty unnoticeable as you have them in place. It does come with a two year warranty from Thule and allows you, again, to have that nice tent coming off of your awning to utilize the most out of your space while you're out on the campsite.That's going to do it for our look at the tent and LED strip mounting rail for the Thule Hideaway Awnings.
