Hello, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Tension Rafter for your Thule Highway Awnings, and it's gonna be 98 3/8 inches long. It is compatible with the TH490008 and the TH490010 Highway Awnings. Now, folks, this is gonna be super easy to install. You simply open your awning and place the rafter into the awning, and then you slightly rope the awning until the rafter is blocked, so it's gonna look something like this image. You get it there in the middle of the screen.
It is a silver anodized aluminum, and it's a high-impact plastic as far as the ends and all the little connections and everything here as well. So, there's a closeup of all the little connections, the nuts, bolts, et cetera. And as far as the length, again, these two pieces will obviously go together, and I'm gonna try with the space limitations. There's a spring mechanism inside here, so once you get this place inside your awning and you close the awning, like I said, enough to get that tension there, that's what's gonna be help holding that in place is that tension on there. So, if you see this two little holes right here, I'll show you that this pushes in basically that far.
So that, again, is what's helping hold everything along with the plastic ends and everything here. So, follow the instructions that come with it. It's gonna be great. It's gonna give you an optional tension on the awning fabric, so it's gonna have better wind resistance, and it's gonna keep the RV awning tight. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up.
Just a quick look today at our Tension Rafter. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
