Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hideaway Awning Adapter for the VW van with lift roof. Now, this adapter kit is going to allow you to attach that Thule awning to the VWT4 that has the lift roof, so that's the pop up top that comes up and let's you camp in style. This is going to basically attach to the curvature of your roof there as you can see, and then the awning will attach to the flat plate there.It does come with a lot of hardware to help you get that installed no matter which Thule awning you have. It's going to be a little different for each one. It does include a bracket to make it easier, which is optional depending again on which one you have to install. Has some self-tapping screws, some larger machine screws, and then these conical flat head screws, as well as some locking nuts and washers.
So, that's all going to help you get that awning installed, so you can have it with your van to cruise around in style.It does have an aluminum construction, so it's going to be strong and durable. You don't have to worry about any rust or corrosion. Again, that does mount directly to your roof so you will have to drill a few holes to get this installed. This adapter lets you mount your Thule HideAway roll-out awning directly to your VW van with a lift roof. Mounting hardware included.They can on time and are for a different Thule awning and vehicle. One new hole and a little adjustment and these adapters worked great. I entered my van’s info and they came up with a VW adapter. They were right they did fit the Dodge sweet. Nice product they gave me enough room to install the hardware and make a nice clean job. Saved a lot of time using these over manufacturing some from scratch.
