Colin: Hey guys, it's Colin here at etrailer. Today, I'm just going to take some time and show you guys these replacement hideaway ratchet straps for the Thule bike racks. Now I'm going to list out the bike racks of these are compatible with so you know that they're going to work with your application. Now these are going to work for the Thule Helium Pro bike racks, the two and the three. It works for the Apex XT bike racks, the Camber bike racks, and the Thule Range bike rack. All of those are hanging style racks that use these hideaway ratchet straps.As you can see, we've actually misplaced some of the straps on our Helium Pro right here.
We're just going to go ahead and remove the other ones and just replace all of them with this kit. Now, I want to point out in this kit you're going to get four standard cradle straps and then two anti-sway cradle straps. That would be enough to replace all the straps on any two bike hanging style rack you have. But if you have a three or four bike rack, you're going to want to pick up two of them if you want to replace them all. First I'm going ahead and remove the rest of them and then get them all replaced.Now we've gone ahead and removed the other straps.
Obviously you do want to keep those around, especially if they're in good shape because then you can use those as replacement straps later if you happen to misplace more. We'll take our standard cradle straps first with the rubber strip side up. We'll feed it through, pull it, just want to give it a good pull and push it in, in place just like that. Then just so it looks neater, I'm just going to push it all the way through, kind of get it looped in on itself. We'll do the same thing for the rest of them.Then our anti-sway cradles.
Keep in mind that it's the two shorter straps that are going to be for your anti-sway cradles. You definitely don't want to mix that up and put the shorter one up top. From here, you're ready to load up your bikes and then hit the road. Now these are going to be direct replacement straps, so they're going to be the exact same as the original straps that came with your bike rack. They still have that nice, flexible construction to them.
That's what I really like about these straps is that you don't have to worry about with those hard rubber straps getting stiff or anything like that.They really do a good job of conforming to your bike rack and getting a really snug fit on them. They also have that nice rubber strip on the bottom right here to help create a barrier between your bike frame and then the plastic right there. It's just going to help protect it from any type of scratches or abrasions. We'll thank you all for watching. I hope this information helped you out. I'll go ahead and list those bike racks again. These replacement straps are for the Thule Helium Pro bike racks, the Apex XT bike racks, the Thule Camber racks, and the Thule Range. Those are all hanging style bike racks.

I bought this for the Thule Apex XT 4, which seemed to be compatible based on the information on the website but the 2 small straps are too small for the cradles. The 4 bigger straps seem to fit, so those are useable.

The bike rack has been a huge time saver. Easy to put on the truck. Easy to secure the bikes. Tremendous improvement over just putting my bike in the back of my truck.
