Hey everybody, Jared at etrailer.com. Today I want to take a quick look at the replacement Acu Tight cradle by Thule. Now this replaces one Acu Tight cradle for your Thule roof mounted cargo box, and they are a direct replacement from Thule, meaning that this item will work with the original Thule product. Now Thule is a quality brand known for excellent products. And we carry many of the products here at etrailer.com. All right, well that was a quick look at the replacement Acu Tight cradle by Thule.

Replaces 1 AcuTight cradle for your Thule roof-mounted cargo box.My original is broke in two. Other than the fact that my new replacement part isn't broke in two, they are identical. The new one just snapped right on. It's the easiest fix ever.
I think that it got cut off in the uploaded photo of the bottom of my repaired cargo pod. Other then the new one being black and shiny, while the older ones are dull and grey, all of the cradles are identical.
I'm not yet sure how these will work. While the appear to be exactly the same as the originals that came with my Thule box when looking at them from the top, when you look at them from the side they are not. (See pictures.Original cradle is on the right in the side-by-side picture, and on the bottom in the stacked, side-view picture.) The new cradle may still work, and it would clearly better than trying to use the box without anything at all. I am going to give it a go and will report back if it breaks quickly.
Purchasing and shipping was great. The only issue is that this cradle is not an accurate replacement for the Thule Pulse cradles. The thicker ends are not as deep but it works fine for tightening the clamps to the box’s bottom.
Repaired my Thule cargo carrier and saved me from needing to purchase a new carrier.
I ordered the cradles to replace the older original cradles that are larger and longer. Mine kept popping off and based upon the other reviews, they appeared to be the correct replacement. (Picture 1) The older cradle is on the left and the new replacement on the right. The newer cradles are slimmer and smaller - but fit just fine. Only extra thing I did was to add a washer (2nd picture) to help keep the screw in place and prevent the cradle from popping off like the old ones used to.
Glad to have these replacement parts to the latches don't roll around within the cargo box.

Still working fine - roof rack pit back on top for summer.
I found it easier to locate and purchase from your site than it was from the actual manufacturer's site (Thule). Go figure! And it was delivered within days; very happy. Thank you. I've bought from you before (small boat dolly) and I will again. Happy camper!
Works great, exactly what you need when one of your feet from a roof carrier breaks. Not the cheap knock offs from Amazon. These have lasted a year without getting brittle or showing signs of wear. Worth the money to get the right ones

Holding steady. Feels exactly like the original part.
Good replacement alternative, was a bit shorter in height compared to its original but still worked as intended.
Wasn't a match for my older Thule roof mounted box, but it at least basically works, so far.
I ordered this thinking that it was the replacement for the cradles on my thule 1600 Atlantis but honestly they do absolutely nothing to cradle the container box as the box rest directly on the cross bar of the thule rack. I guess the information put out that these were replacements is accurate in that they do screw into place but do nothing to support or protect the box from the rack cross bar they do not even touch the cross bar... I feel sort of conned here can you see why thus you get one star... sorry
Installation is very easy and it fit gr eat.
Product fits exactly and works as necessary. The curve is slightly less so it could technically slide easier especially on narrow crossbars. While I doubt this would be a problem, I will attach a picture...the original is on the right.
I ordered a replacement part for a Thule cargo box, and was very pleased with the entire experience with etrailer! I found them via an online search as one of the few places carrying the part. Confirmed that it was the right part via their website. Ordering the part was easy. They have excellent email communication to alert me when the part was shipped and received. No comments on the part itself, but I'm sure it will be fine. No issues with eTrailer as they always provide fast shipping. One note of caution that wasn't completely obvious to me - if you have an older Ascent box, the screws that hold in the original cradle do not have a built in washer and the hole in the replacement cradles is larger in diameter, so either order new screws or buy some washers. I was under the impression the old screws would work and since I still had them, I didn't order new ones. In my opinion, these shouldn't be sold separately. See my picture with the old screw resting on top of the new cradle for a sense of what I mean.
First time ordering from this company and I am thoroughly impressed with their selection of parts, ease of ordering, pricing, and quick shipping. Instead of being forced to buy the whole grip assembly for my cargo carrier, I was able to purchase only the part needed for the assembly. It came sealed in a plastic bag and of excellent quality. Will purchase from them again should I need anything else.
not as thick as the original however it looks the same and I am sure it will serve the purpose. I also got replacement of the lost keys.

Ordering the part for a Thule Atlantis 1800xt we found in a thrift store was easy and the delivery came in just a few days.

After a year the cradle is still in place and working well. While it wasnt a perfect fit, it is doing the job with no issues whatsoever.
